Where to start?

First of all, we were unsure wether or not to book at this hotel. We read some good review and some horrible ones... I must say, when you do understand how things are run in Domicain Republic, I must say I was impressed.

We booked a week all inclusive vacation for 850$ which is not much for what we got. The first day was a nightmare but we kinda expected it. AC wasn't working. We complained and they told us the manager would be here by 7pm (we arrived at 5pm). they made us wait for 4 hours before admitting they couldn't repair it the AC and we had to harass them before they admit it.. They switch us chamber 3 times. Frist time AC didn't work, second time the bed were just too worned out and finished and the last time, we got our room.

The room smelled like mold but it is normal since the AC didn't run for a few days. The bed were really comfortable and the room was clean. The next day, they showed us what would have been our final chamber but the room smelled like pee. SO in the end, we stayed in the room we got by the beach. A special thank to Rosa to help us through this. One thing you should know is it's really hard to get serve in french or even english. They speak mostly spanish or course but Rosa was excellen tand very friendly. You get a problem, get Rosa!

That's it for the rant! Second day was where the fun begins!

The beach. It was easy to get some cover from the sun and the beach was beautiful. However, this beach got some seaweed but they pick it up twice a day. You have some in the water but it didn't stop me from swimming! It depends on the season. A little tip, if you go left of the beach, a little after the natura park beach, you get a small zone without sea weed and totally beautiful to swim in it with crystal clear water! Great for a photo shooting! A shame we found out the day we left. There is some salesman trying to sell you some stuff. They weren't a major problem but after a week, you tire of hearing them. Got nothing to complain on the beach!

The hotel ground are absolutly BEAUTIFUL with wildlife everywhere and lot of trees and plants. See our photos to gives you an idea but it is by far one of the most beautiful hotel ground I have seen yet. The building are kinda old but they put a LOT of effort to keep everything clean and in shape. They got a whole bunch of animals that you can see and even feed! Try bringing some bread and watch them come! Especially the fishes!

The food now. We went to the buffet (la cana) and the breakfast was excellent with some good things and some bad. You have something for everyone but you gotta be open minded! I always found something tasty and never complain about the morning buffet. Try some fresh juice made of fresh pineaple, passion fruit and banana!

For dinner, you can go to the La perla buffet. This was our let down. This buffet doesn't have much variety and wasn't that good. But not far from there, you have a small snackbar where you get hamburger and hotdogs. The snackbar was good but remember, the beef they have there is nothing like the beef you get in North America. Keep that in mind.

The evening buffet was where things shined! They usually have a theme about one day on two. We tried the italian theme, normal and Dominicain Night. Italian was tasty with a good variety, normal was well normal!and the domicain night was by far the best for me! The food they had was tasty. beautiful and seriously, I didn't eat this much in a while but like I said, be open minded. I even tried the fish and to my surprise, it was excellent!!!!

The "À la carte restaurants". Long story short, Italian = food OK but good but the decoration felt cheap. The steakhouse = Excellent food and mood just felt so romantic! Beautiful restaurant. We didn't try the seafood but we heard it was nice too!

We didn't see many shows... in fact, one problem with this resort is there are a LOT of smokers. It doesn't bother you too much until you get them in a tiny room altogether. We couldn't resist more than 20 minutes. But to our surprise, we found a small area on top of the reception where you could play some games!

The drinks were OK I guess. I am not a big fan of booze but they have your normal stuff. They can do you lot of drinks not on the menu so don't be shy to ask. My favorite was 2 local drinks, Santos Libre and Caipi Rina. First one is some kind of rhum and coke with 7up and the other is a lime drink with rhum and sugar. Very tasty!

We did an escursion, the bavarro runners. You learn a lot of things about the country, you see and taste all sort of different fruit and local coffee, you do horseback riding (a little) and you do realise in what kind of country you are. But best of all is a trip to the macao beach.

For 850$ we got one hell of a trip and would gladly recommend it! Go with some friends or in couple.... you will not be disapointed.

Room Tip: Stay in Patio 8 , 9 or 10. It is 3 patios owned by nolitours and have been renovated.

I would like to start this off by saying to the staff and management of the park thank you for a pleasant stay. I experienced some minor difficulties after checking in and they were addressed by the staff quickly. This hotel is a little dated in the room interiors but if you go on vacation to live in your room then book the Hard Rock for 5 to 10 times as much. The Animation Team was spectacular, all were extremely friendly and knew my name within the first day. The grounds are extremely well kept and to see a goose guarding the buffet was hysterical, there are lots of birds to watch and the water in the complex is filled with fish and turtles. The pool was clean and the beach was beautiful and again well maintained. I have read the reviews from previous people and I understand when an issue may arise you might not be happy but you sometimes you must be patient and have a conversation with a General Manager like Jordi Guillaumet and he will make sure your stay is better. The Food was great at all the restaurants and the buffet was better then I have had at any resort, The drinks were good and the beer was cold and yes the frozen drink machines sometimes weren't to frozen. Finally a very special ThankYou to my Waiter at every restaurant, Jose Luis you went above and beyond and I hope to dine with you again soon. Last point I swear, remember to tip the people that work hard for you they work long hard hours for the prevailing wages of the country which is not much a few dollars goes a long way. Thanks

My husband and I just got back from five days at Natura Eco Resort. After reading all the negative reviews, we were exceptionally happy with our visit, and DO NOT understand why other people were not. No, it isn't a five-star resort, and yes, the buildings are older. And this is part of the reason we could afford to go to the Dominican Republic in the first place. In the second place, if you know how to treat staff members, you will get the same treatment in return. I had some items (clothing, shoes, etc.) that was slated for Goodwill - instead, I took them with us, and it was truly awesome to see the appreciation such simple things can bring. If you want to consider this a "tip" for staff members, go ahead - for me it was rewarding.

To address the negatives I've read, the air conditioning wasn't as cool as most of us keep it in our homes, but with the ceiling fans, it was adequate and we slept fine. The food was not gormet, but definitely eatible and filling. The beds were a bit harder than we're used to, but again, we slept fine. The beach had seaweed, but tropical storm Issac had just blown through. The vendors were not bothersome if you politely told them "no, thanks".

We look forward to all our vacations as adventures, and this was one of our most memorable ones. Thanks to all at the resort who helped make those wonderful memories. And to others reading this review, don't let negative people influence your life!!

this was my second trip to the DR, but first time at Natura park. we stayed from sept 7, 2012 to sept 14, 2012. everyone was great especially the bar staff and the animation team. the animation team (donald, spaghetti, fidodido, and 50 cents )were hilarious and made us feel soo welcomed. i wish we could stay in touch with them. the food was good, with many choices, and the a la carte dinner was not bad either. we had a second floor corner room which was huge and very private. the air condition worked well and it wasnt noisy. a few days out of the week there was seaweed on the beach but it was cleaned everyday. on other days while swimming in the ocean we saw beautiful fish swimming by our feet, and the water was so clear. we also did a few day excurstions and they were wonderful.

Room Tip: our room number was 4229 on patio 4 and it was a wonderful room, with a walkin closet.

We had a great experience at this resort. Especially the staff, namely: Raquel, Tony, Raymond, Luis, Raisa and Luis Andres, just to name a few. Oh and not to forget the Animation team,we only remember Donald and 50 cents, they were fabulous and so very friendly. The restaurants were very good as well. They could improve on the lunch buffet, by presenting some more seafood and a better assortment of different cheeses. Also the red wine was a little weak. After the show, they should have dancing for adults, or I should say a Disco/Night club. I found that we were going to bed very early. But other than that it was a great vacation. One cannot find the perfect resort. Cheapcaribbean.com was excellent. The whole trip went very smoothly.

Room Tip: The best rooms are on the 2nd floor. You'd have a better view

We booked our August stay at Natura Park Beach through CheapCaribbean.com for a very interesting rate (6 nights with air travel from the US for $850). CheapCarribean made our transfer from the Punta Cana airport to the hotel seamless and they even had a resident representative every day on the grounds.

Check-in was smooth and we ended up in a second floor room much nicer than I had expected based on the comments in this forum. It had nice size with a vaulted ceiling, and if the furniture was not recent, it was nicely kept and the bathroom was immaculate. The air conditioning was minimal but acceptable when once we turned the ceiling fan to a higher speed (by pulling on the little chain attached to it).

The landscaping of resort’s grounds is stunning as stated my many reviewers here, so I won’t expand on that. The pool was nice and clean and always a center of fun activities. The beach is pleasant and yes, there is some seaweed at times but a couple of steps will get you over it and into clear, warm water!

Food was great! It is very diverse and of much better quality than I expected considering that this is an all-inclusive. The main buffet in the hotel lobby, intended for breakfast and dinner is spectacular and the lunch buffet, which is located by the pool is very suitable. We were also eligible for dinners in two of the three specialty restaurants on the grounds and had excellent dishes in both the steak house and seafood places. Drinks were not strong but they were plentiful everywhere, so at least we stayed properly hydrated!

The resort is not that large and you can’t easily walk or bike out of it (narrow road leading to it). Therefore, if you plan on staying more than 3 nights, you will want to book some excursions. We recommend that you book your excursion with the guys who peddle them every day on the hotel grounds. They are accredited by the hotel and they sell the exact same excursions as the guys stationed in the hotel lobby; only with them you can negotiate a much better price. We booked a day cruise to Saona Island (lots of fun!) and a buggy excursion with Ronald and Basil, two local vendors who stand on the main resort walkway at breakfast time and then work out of a small booth by the pool for the rest of the day. They were very professional and made sure to get us set up properly. It worked out great.

The hotel personnel works very hard at all levels. They may not always have a smile on their face but we found them to be very competent. We did speak some Spanish and that definitely helped.

This resort offers a great quality for the money. It is a place of beauty, the accommodations are very proper, there are great food and drinks everywhere you turn, and the animation team does a fantastic job at keeping you entertained all day and late into the evening. Yes, the fridge in our room was not cooling, we had a small leak from the A/C (which was promptly fixed), and even though he local vendors are nice and not pushy, at times you could do with fewer solicitations. These, however, are very minor drawbacks on a resort that packed with value and that runs like clockwork. We paid about 50% more for our trip to Bermuda last year and did not get nearly as many benefits during our vacation.

We chose Natura Park because of the great price we got through Cheap Caribbean. We were pleasantly surprised by how good it was. The food was excellent, the rooms were very comfortable and the staff was professional and friendly. The grounds were beautiful including many roaming exotic birds. We spent most days on the beach taking advantage of the bar available right on the beach. At night we went to the night club and enjoyed the comedy, singing and dancing shows they put on. We felt safe at all times and walked many miles along the shore line. This was the best deal we've ever gotten on a vacation.

Room Tip: Our room was half way between the beach and the dinning center. I would suggest this area.
