I went to bavaro with my boyfriend and a couple friends. I loved everything and i recommend the hotel to 200%.
I advise to go in other season because in august it is very expensive. I you bet in another month managed to save 300€ to 400€.
Conclusion: These were my best holidays

This was the second time my family and I vacationed in Punta Cana and stayed at the same resort. This time I took things a little more slow and just relaxed. The first time we came I did as many activities as I could. We spent eight days at the Bavaro Princess and is was just as amazing as it was the year before. We enjoyed our first time here in 2007 that we cam back in 2008. The food in the main buffet changes each day that you get to experience different foods while vacationing. There are plenty of activities to do example: we went horseback riding, drove ATV's, did snorkling on a party boat, rode the banana boat, and went to a club. The resort has a casino and nightly entertainment for everyone.

.This resort was suppose to be an upgrade from the resort (PCP),the one we got bumped from.We booked a resort that was small ,adult only, and they sent us to a resort that had spring breakers and families with small children. We had the platinum Pkg. When we arrived in the room it was musty smelling, the liqour bottles all three were bone dry and the phone jack was sticking out of the wall. We were about two hundred yards from the shuttle pick-up area. Yes you needed a shuttle to get to the front of the resort other wise it was a 15 minute walk. The saving grace of this resort is the beach. The food is okay and the service people worked hard. The management people are terrible.I had to call PCP to find out what time for transfer to the airport and they wanted to charge me 3.00 for the call. This place is not a good resort at all, the only reason I gave it three is because of the hard working service people. Please do some research into this place before you go.

Me my Husband and another couple (Friends) went from the 18 of Feb. to 28 of Feb. to this Resort.
We enjoyed every minute we were there. The food was so delicious, the people were so friendly and helpful, restaurants, pool, ocean, beach, rooms whatever there is it was all perfect! I'm not sure why people are complaining about the rooms, i mean who wants to stay in the room on vacation, com on enjoy the sun, beach ocean, we only went to the rooms when we had to sleep! Our mini fridge was filled up every day with water juice and beer, every day very clean rooms!
We specially liked the bartenders like Ruben, Jesus and Alberto the even gave us our drink before asking.
I just can say we had the best vacation ever at this resort, its worth it to go to a 5 Star Resort. But you have to remember its a poor country!
Don't be afraid to go there check it out yourself and remember vacation is not about complaining its a different country so everything will be different but that's what you chose right?

Just arrived back from 2 weeks at the Bavaro Princess with friends. What a beautiful resort, clean, well manicured and different from other resorts we have been to. The resort is a kilometer long from the beach and 1/3 kilometer wide with a Mangrove in the middle. You can see birds, turtles,Iguanas, fish, and quite a variety of trees and flowers and other plants. What a nice touch..........
There are trolley cars enroute almost every 10 minutes so you don't have to wait long if you would rather not walk.
Rooms - older but clean and everything worked with a pretty good pressured shower.
Pools - we found them to be pretty small for this size of resort but didn't really matter to us as we use the beach all of the time.
Beach- beautiful ,large ,long , lots of lounges and kept very clean. One of our complaints would be the Dominicans selling their wares ,noisy and loud if you were trying to sleep or relax on the beach. They quickly moved on when a nice NO THANK YOU was given.
Restaurants - were all nice and clean with great service. Our only complaint might have been the food was not hot enough sometimes. Excellent fresh fruits and desserts and main courses always had lots of variety. The staff in all of the restaurants were very attentative except for El Pescador, they seemed to be out of sorts making us wait quite long between courses.
Bars- well this is a personal subject for individuals. service was great and never had to wait long at any bar...
Staff - Never had a problem with any staff member at any part of this resort. The language barrier sometimes came into play but nothing you could not overcome with air drawings................
Entertainment- they work hard at their job. Since we have been to the carribean a few times most of the shows are the same..........
Tours - we tried the Helidosa (helicopter ride). Well this was quite a treat. The whole experience from the pick-up at the resort to the drop off was very professional. ChiChi our driver and John the pilot helped make this an excellent ride.
Our only serious complaint would be with mother nature as our last 3 days it was very windy form the north making it tough to sit on the beach facing the ocean as the blowing sand would get into every place it could....
I would probably come back to this resort if the price was right but there are so many other ones to see ............
