This is a very late posting. We stayed for 1 week the beginning of November 2012. Good time to go as it was not crowded and the weather was great. Another couple traveled with us. Our travel agent arranged Royal Service for us with ocean front rooms. Royal Service is the way to to. Our original room had 2 double beds but they moved us to another with a king. Seemed to take a little longer checking in than we liked but it was worth the wait. The rooms were quite large, clean and had a great view, being ocean front. We were about a 3 minute walk to the restaurants and pools, which was great. Kudos to Anthony from Royal Service, our butler Ruben, and Benita at the Royal Service pool. Royal Service was fantastic-anything you needed-towels, ice, transportation, reservations-they took care of it. The private Royal Service beach was right off our patio, they catered to any need we had. There also was a snack shack on the beach in front of our room that had fantastic grilled chicken, sausage, fish etc with salads and deserts available from lunch until dinner time. Very convenient. The food overall was good, some better than others. A couple of the restaurants were under construction/remodeling while we were there, but we did not go hungry! Very large resort and very pretty. It's a very nice place that is trying very hard to be a great resort. We have stayed at Sandals Montego Bay and the Paradisus is not quite up to that level but they seem to be trying and we are planning on returning to Paradisus this fall. Great place with wonderful people. Just don't expect perfection-just a nice relaxing time. Be patient-Dominican time is a little longer than US time-it's a little more laid back than what we are used to. Highly recommend Royal Service.
