Went to the factory on a tour and saw first hand how they made cigars and the different processes that they use to get to the final product. They had a nice show room to purchase just about any cigar you could think of and the prices were very reasonable. They even too time to explain the different strengths of cigars and what could be matched with certain drinks.

We were not able to fit the tour of the large Garcia Tabacalera Factory so my brother-in-law and I visited this small factory. The tour was very informative and all our questions were answered as the process from field to box was explained. We were also allowed to take all the photographs we wanted. Watching the rollers working was amazing. They were so fast. We did not realize all the brands made by this company. Most likely, if you are smoking it, it may well have been from here. For $30 each we received the tour and a 5-pack of cigars. You are encouraged to smoke on the tour, which makes it even better.

We visited the Vega Fina Factory on a private Tour that cost $74 US for 3 people. It is a small, modern building. Our guide, Jose, spoke enough English to make it fun. We got three cigars each: light, medium and heavy. We smoked the light cigar through out the tour and enjoyed the medium cigar over a delicious cup of coffee and conversation with Jose in the sales room at the end of the tour. It was very intimate and took about 45 minutes to see the process and ask all of our questions. The Vega Fina facility in La Romana is strictly for tours but fun and informative, even if you're not a cigar smoker!

This was an incredibly disappointing tour. There was no electricity! We walked through the tiny facility in the dark.
