We went to this island to celebrate my birthday with a bunch of friends. Left from la Romana is about 25
Min ride with a big boat. Divers and snorkeles are together. The boat stops first in a diving spot and everybody goes down for an amazing clear water spot. Then the ride continues to the other side of the island where you find one of the most beautiful beaches of Dominican Republic. This excursion incudes a ice buffet and chaise longues at the beach.
A must to visit

Visited Catalina Island beach for a day trip and had an enjoyable time with family and friends.

The beach is pristine with crystal clear waters, great for snorkeling, swimming and scuba diving, lots of coral reefs in the area. They have picnic tables and bathrooms, which is good because no one lives on the island.

Take bug spray with you to avoid insect bites, there are mosquitoes and horse flies in the area. If you like fishing this is also a great spot to fish from a boat or beach.

First achieved PADI 39 years ago but following pool refresher, we thoroughly enjoyed 2 dives at Aquarium location which was reef based and also Wall dive too. Good visibility and great support.

Went on an excursion with Casa de Campo and was very impressed. The island is beautiful and they have their own secluded beach. While there were other people there, it was easy to find your own space (unlike my experience on Isla Saona). Beautiful water, beach, cottages and there is also a little nature walk that ends in an amazing swimming hole. Will definitely be back!

My husband and our friends booked this excursion and I’m so glad that we did. The boat ride to where you go snorkeling was breathtaking. The water is crystal clear and the views were amazing. We got to see so many different types of fish
We also had a blast once we arrived to the island. The beaches have white sand with clear water. Plus once you’re on the island they make delicious coconut drinks soooo yummy! Well worth the price

Enjoyed our few hours here, also got a very cheap but effective massage. only criticism is we were not told you had to pay for the toilet and my 11 year old son with Autism went and was quite badly told off by the lady attending the toilet which upset him quite a bit.

You should definitely go, rent a golf cart. Stop along the route to swim at the very first rock beach, take photos whenever possible and lastly, stop as Descano Beach Club for a drink (shhhh, no drinking and driving) and the best swimming on the island!)
Have kids, but them a tube!
