My husband and I rented a 3 bedroom, 3.5 bath villa for 8 nights. We wanted the private pool and we wanted to have someone cook breakfast for us in the mornings. For these services we needed a villa. It was worth it. The villa was beautiful. We didn't need 3 bedrooms but it was great having more than one bath and a living room and kitchen as well. The pool was cleaned daily and it was very private. The beds were all king size and they were, as stated many times, very firm, but that did not create a problem and we both slept fine. It was very humid so we ate breakfast in the dining room, although every morning our housekeeper asked if we wanted to eat on our porch instead. Breakfast was eggs-omelette with bacon, onions, peppers and potatoes. We also had fresh fruit, juice, coffee and either pancakes. After serving us the housekeeper left and came back to clean everything when we were all done-amazing feature! The VIP beach was great. Shaded beds on the beach with a cold drink at all times. The water was warm and inviting and they brought us lunch in our beach bed if we wanted. The restraunts were another story. The Gourmet, Chinese and Mexican were all very good. We both hated Italian and the steak one (don't remember what it was called). Neither of us like the buffet, but the VIP bar would make sandwiches if we were hungry and we didn't starve! Chocolate in awful at all places there. How can it be that bad? All in all we had an amazing vacation. The resort was very clean in all areas that we saw. The swim up bar was a nice feature that we used once just to try. The VIP pool was very pleasant and Ocean World was great for a half day visit. Total price breaks down as folllows. Villa- $1140 for 8 nights, all inclusive packaga $115 per day, for 8 days for 2 people-$920, tips (although tips are included we brought about 100 singles and 7 fives for this purpose) We gave $5 per day to the housekeeper and singles as we saw fit for different things in the resort. This is what was suggested to us by the woman we rented the villa from. We used points from Jet Blue-the only carrier that flies non stop from JFK-NY. The taxes and fees for the flight were $97 each for the flight and $10 each as the entrance fee to the Dominican Republic-paid in cash when you land. The total was $2409. Worth every penny. You can stay at other parts of this same resort for much less money, but we loved the villa and the freedom to use all the different parts of the resort. Wait staff was amazing everywhere, but the time share sellers were very pushy and they are relentless. We told them no for a few days and then we became very firm and they left us alone for the rest of our stay.

With the newer amenities, we found a perfect beach at Serenity. Checkout could be expedited though by checking out in your own villa.

After staying in a Crown Villa, for the absurdly low prices offered, I find myself hard pressed to travel elsewhere. This is by far the best value out there for resort travel.

I would highly recommend staying at this resort. The food and drink were excellent, and as a guest of Mark your alcohol is delivered to your villa. The In-Villa barbecue (an extra charge) was highly worth the money - the chefs come directly to your villa and prepare a variety of dishes - all of which were superb.

The staff were very helpful and accommodating - no complaints there.

The Beaches were excellent - particularly the VIP beach with the King size beds with canopies.

The weekly VIP Party was a blast.

Our Christmas present to our children - from the minute we got off the plane to the minute we got back on the plane - disaster. Rented from private owners- AR Caribbean Vacations - J. Wilson & K. Potestivo. We were met by 2 people from the resort as we were getting our luggage who then advised us that we were not going to be staying at Lifestyle Crown Villas. I had a signed lease for a 4 bedroom villa and had paid full price. We (all 7 of us) were taken to a not so nice hotel & dropped off. I could not get cell phone service to call the owners to see what was going on because we were so far out. All of my family was scattered around and my 73 yr. old mother was in a room by herself a ways away from my husband and I, or our 2 grown sons their wifes. We had 2 other members of our family who were arriving later & we couldn't even get a message to them as to where we were. All of the administrative staff were rude and just didn't care about us. At 1 point we were all locked in a van in 95 degree heat with the windows up while the driver went in the office to see where he was supposed to be taking us. This was not a 5 min. stay, and we had to crawl over the seat to get up to the drivers door to open the door. I could go on & on about the daily struggles with this resort, but there is not enough space in the block to write all down. I would never recommend this resort to anyone. Paid a lot of money for a awful trip that I wish had never taken place

We returned to Lifestyle Holidays for our third year in a row. We love it! You definitely want to upgrade to a VIP package to get the most from your vacation. The food at the restaurants is great, the view is beautiful and our staff at the villa were wonderful as usual! We loved it so much that we upgraded to the premium membership. If at all possible you should book through an owner to get the best deals and the best service. We used Golden Sunsets Travel for our villa reservations. Great, Great, Great!!! The welcome party is a must, its unbelievable. There is great Vegas style entertainment each evening and there are many family friendly activities by the pool each day. This is a great vacation that will make you want to go back again and again!

This was a vacation with my husband and 2 other couples. The Villa and our Chambermaid Esperanza was fantastic. The check in was average. This resort has great potential, but is terribly unorganized and the food is awful. Do not even brush your teeth with the water. Bring lots of imodium as even Pepto runs right through. Bring as much food from home as you can fit in your suitcase. Each Villa is supposed to have a golf cart, but our owner decided she needed two carts for herself and her family so tough luck for us. Bring lots and lots of one dollar bills you will need them to tip the drivers of the shuttles. The resort does not offer change. If you must go, upgrade to VIP gold bracelet. This will allow you access to a few spots the other people can not go. There is only one way to know what is going on and where at the resort each day which is a newsletter similar to what you get on a cruise. If you do not like below average food, alot of time on the beach, drinks with minimal ice if any, and really lousy mixed drinks this is not a vacation for you. There are a few excursions offered that are very, very good. We went to Ocean World and on the cable car trip which includes a tour of the Brugal Rum factory, the amber and Larimar factory (more like a house that has been remodeled) and one of the couples we traveled with went on the zip line trip and enjoyed it very much. The other couple went on an excursion that include water falls and other fun things. The prices for the excursions are more than reasonable for what they include and it is great to get away from the resort for a day or two. We were so happy to come home. I was even looking forward to going back to work after this dissappointing trip.

My husband and I, along with two other couples had a great week at this resort. We had a 3 bedroom villa and opted for the VIP all inclusive package. The villa was everything we expected and more, with our own private pool and a terrific home cooked breakfasts by our adorable housekeeper, Okeelia! We enjoyed the VIP pool and beach as well, where we relaxed on giant beach beds and were served drinks, food, and cigars by a very attentive staff! We enjoyed dinner at Indochine the best, however the other restaurants were good. We were disappointed with the lobster, as it was not was we're used to (rather mushy!). This resort fit the bill for us! We will definitely go back!
