We had a lovely time on this trip. You get to see so much, I really liked that we visited a school. The children were so sweet and happy! Canadian kids could take a lesson from these lovely children, to be happy with less.
The beach we went to was very rough but very beautiful. Would definitly recommend this trip!

It was just the best day!! You get to see the country side, it was amazing. we get to see the people, help the community by buying stuff they make (sculptures, chocolate, coffee). Everyone is so nice, especially the kids!

The trip is definitely the highlight of my vacation. We bought our tickets for 40$ on the beach whilst the hotel sold them for 70$ (if I'm not mistaking) so just watch out where you buy them.

This is one of the best excursions that you can do. You will see the real country side of D.R. The people are very friendly and it is the high light of their day if the jeeps comes by. Be prepared though, you will get muddy. Wear old clothes because the mud does not come out.

we paid $45 on the beach - it was a great day for seeing lots in one day. Tour guide spoke great english and the food was excellent. lots of drinks (beer not included) and saw a school, went down 7 waterfalls (bring your own aqua shoes or pay for the rental!) and bring stuff to give away to kids, etc on the tour. We gave the coffee making lady and the cigar maker toothpaste, the kids toys and hair bands gum etc. and then stuff for the families of the bus driver and tour guide. if you forget cash and buy stuff you pay the driver whne you get back tot he hotel. Also you get to see a chicken fight and how petrified wood statues are made.
