My wife and I stay for 14 days at this in all perspective nice place.
We have choose this place because of the location, the positive reviews and because we really need a place of relaxation.
14 days seems a long time, but we could easily have used 14 days more.
The food was exellent, the lady of the lodge very nice and caretaken without being clingy. Also the way she manage the staff was nice.
We get around by the local taxi and a local guide - both extremely service minded. In continuation we had very good and elaborating talks with the guide about our different cultures and about the living conditions in DR.
And of course being in the nature, seing the honeybird just one meter in front of you, stretching out in the morning and looking at the Atlantic Ocean is still in our minds.
We can only give our best recommodation to this the place, the staff and management and services. And say: go for it!

My husband an I stayed for 3 nights and enjoyed every min of our stay. Everything was amazing from the palapa we stayed in, the open air shower, food, tours, and the people working there. I just wish there was a web cam to see the view any day I want. We both agree the eco lodge was much better than the all inclusive and cant wait to come back and explore more of the country and interact with the people living in an amazing country.

Room tip: If you have 1-2 kids the palapa with the double bed below and the two twin beds above is best.

As this is not a seaside location I was little worried what we gona do there in the mountains, but in the end I would say that this stay was the most rewarding and relaxing in Dominican republic (we were traveling around and changed 6 locations in 3 weeks). The big pluses are great view toward the ocean, staff is very friendly but not pushy, food is excelent, lodges are really eco but eveerything is clean. For activiteis I would recomend coffe plantations and nearby waterfalls.

Serene, scenic eco lodge - peaceful get away from the city and touristy beaches. Tim is a wealth of knowledge on local history, culture, and tourism, and is happy to sit and talk or connect you with local guides. The views are amazing, breezes keep all bugs away, food is delicious. Check out the Amber Mine tour, local hike, fruit stand, or coffee plantation.

Room tip: Dorm style rooms don't get much breeze due to the direction they face. Upgrade to a palapa for two open sides and extra breeze.

To imagine your stay close your eyes! Feel the gentle breeze, listen to the palms blowing, feel the coolness on your skin, smell the sweetness of the flowers at your porch ledge! You ARE in paradise! The small "lap" pool takes the heat of a tropical day away as you relax with friends both new and old. The food from The Girls is never disappointing! Lodging is a palm heaven with cross ventilation through louvred windows. Any special needs are met by just asking!
The common eating space overlooks the Tubagua valley to the ocean view from Puarta Plata to Sosua shoreline. And one of the best views is from the room with a view hot water shower accommodations.

Room tip: Open air views available with netting on every bed for that tropical feel with never a bug to bite! Front rooms are the best view!
