Property is really good, nice rooms and nice spaces. Services are the problem, since arriving to the hotel it was a nightmare, they made us wait 5 hours to get a room even when we requested an early check in and the room was ready. Restaurant is lacking most of the ingredients to cook your order and the options are limited to a couple of dishes. They even ran out of coffee!!
A shame than a really nice place become a tourist trap.

I love the Billini Hotel, their breakfast is amazing, coffee on the rooftop by a pool overlooking a XVII Church Dome is unparalleled, walking distance from every major monument and really cool rooms! Mine had a XVI Century well in the room. You can't beat their fun Vespas that take you everywhere you want in the city, and their staff is super friendly. I go there every year and now feel like at home because people in this hotel make you feel that way. Can't recommend it highly enough.

The Billini isn't the largest hotel in the Colonial Zone, but it has to be the nicest. Our room was clean and ready for us when we arrived. Every aspect of the hotel exudes Comfort and Luxury. But that's not the best thing about this hotel, Victor, the manager or assistant manager, is the absolute best. Victor made us and other visitors feel so comfortable and like family. He spends time to actually talk to you and share his knowledge of Santo Domingo and it's history. If you want to know where the best restaurant of any cuisine, just ask Victor. Victor is very pleasant and treats visitors like long lost friends.

Room tip: All rooms are good. It depends if you prefer a room with a patio/garden view or not

Showed up early (~11am) and were told that check in isn’t until 3pm and our room was not ready. They offered to store our luggage and check in our vehicle and we were free to use the pool and other hotel areas. Nice relaxing vibe at the rooftop pool and lounge; perfect place to wash off any stress you might have picked up. After some pool time, we changed and went out to wander and snack through the colonial zone. We returned around 2:45pm to check in and our room was still not available; this time we were told it would be another 30 minutes. We decided to avoid the rain and have a beverage in the hotel bar and our room was available around 4pm. Overall, staff was friendly and helpful and the room (213) was small, yet comfortable and well appointed with coffee/tea/minibar and typical complimentary toiletries.
