Delicious and authentic food. The guisado was to die for and the tostones were perfect. Also appreciate the iced beer mugs. We did get the mofongo, but found it dry. Could be mofongo as a dish or maybe just not good. If you're like us and feel like you haven't had enough authentic Dominican food, make your way here while in Santo Domingo.
Just an fyi, this restaurant is not near the Colonial Zone. Fine for us, but just an fyi for tourists. Also, please be aware walking back at night. The section of the walk past El Conde gets a bit dark and we had a sketchy tout following us for a bit. El Conde was quite crowded, so no worries there. Just take a cab if needed or better ask the restaurant to call for one.
