Because of our schedule, our family spent only afternoons and some evenings at the hotel. So the large pool, tennis courts, basketball court and soccer field gave us many options to unwind. If your intent is to be active in the ocean or downtown, this may not be the best option. But it is in a safe location and conveniently located to a large supermarket. The rooms are reasonably clean and the worked well for most of the week. The staff was helpful, though you should not expect many to speak english. Breakfast at the restaurant is excellent.

I just came back from there. The non renovated rooms are horrible. Really Old furniture, totally uncomfortable beds, dirty floor(even found a piece of nail from the previous guest, I guess). Tv didnt work, some lamps didnt work, "Fan" really loud and bathrrom dirty, even flooded when I walked in the room.
Dont even think to order room service, the Pizza I had was horrible, I dont think even a dog would it that. Breakfast also was scary bad.

The best part of the stay was when I walked out and took a cab to the Airport back home.

They've been renovating this hotel for a couple years now. The catch is getting a renovated room. The renovated rooms are modern and comfortable (above average). The old rooms are 1970's and should be avoided (terrible). The first time I was stuck one night in the latter - short notice, internet fare. The second time, I made sure to "ask" for one of the renovated rooms upon check in (even after requesting one over the phone). You would have thought that I was asking for a penthouse suite upgrade at no cost. After about 5-10 extra minutes, I did get placed in renovated room, but I didn't appreciate that the fact that I had work to get it.

I stayed at the hotel while attending an event. The staff was very nice and the facilities were clean.

I would not call it a 5-star hotel, this is more like your average US Sheraton or Radisson 3 1/2 stars or so.

I had two problems during my stay:
- The free in-room Wi-Fi was slow to the point of being useless, Wi-Fi in the lobby area was fine.

- Water pressure in the bathroom is super strong which is great, but also a problem because the shower only has a glass panel covering half the space instead of a full door or curtain, water splashes everywhere and the whole floor outside the shower is soaked.

- A business hotel in a business city should start breakfast at 6am... this place starts at 7am! too late.

My family stayed at this property for ten days while on a church mission trip. The location was perfect which was why we selected this hotel. We loved the pool. The service was attendtive. The lobby was attractive and comfortable. The breakfast buffet was very good. The rooms are badly in need of updating but were kept clean.

This hotel is not luxurious but comfortable and friendly.

I just returned from a 4 day stay at the Fiesta. I wanted to stay in a nice neighborhood away from the usual tourist hotels. I was not disappointed here. The room and the bathroom were very nice.

The bed(s) were clean, the view nice and the room was clean. I enjoyed the included breakfast (secured through the Fiesta website). The staff were very kind.

The negatives were: Air Conditioning not cool enough but this may be common in the DR, had trouble getting a king bed but a wait in the lobby helped keep me noticed and finally secured one, construction work during the day only, occasional lights out in hallway but power was always on in my room

Overall a good choice for a business traveler and I would stay here again.

I am from SE USA.

The hotel was not too bad, which surprised me. It was in walking distance from Malecon, and a quick taxi ride to the shopping districts. Breakfast was okay, nothing spectacular, but edible. The rooms were clean, the staff was nice...all in all...I'd recommend it.
