You have to visit this nature large cave with different colours and temperatures of th ewater. On one lake you can go by boat into the cave. Great experience.

Definatly go if you are in the area. You can combine it with a trip to the aquarium or el Faro a colon. You must hire a guide at the enterance to the cave but they are cheap. The one we had was fun, knowledgable and enjoyed his job. Getting down in the caves was not only beautiful, it was quite, cool and relaxing after a day in the city. Found the vendors above the caves had some really nice carvings as well. I would not go again but you must see it once!

We stopped by here during our Mission Trip to Barahona. It is beautiful. We hired a knowledgeable guide named Marino who spoke very good English and had "Tarzan" climb the cave and dive into the water. We also took the raft across to the 4th eye-it is kind of home-made and they pull it across the lake using a rope-they are quite inventive. Be sure to go early in the day as there is no breeze while down in the caves and wear mosquito protection. Also be weary of touching the water at Lago Las Damas (Lake of the Ladies), legend says the waters are magical and help women with fertility problems. They would swim there naked and end up pregnant.

Good to go and see if you are in the area. We were on a day trip from punta cana and his was the first stop on our tour. There are a lot go 'tour guides' and hawkers which may have been intimidating if we were not in our group. The caves and pools were great to see and we got some good photos but there are a lot of steps and it was quite humid so some may find it difficult. In all I guess it tok 30-45 mins to visit, unless you want to linger and watch people visiting.
