Tres ojos was incredible! Imagine a cavern with 3 pools underneath a city...truly amazing. It was so beautiful, HOT, but beautiful. One of the most beautiful sites I have seen.

Although there were alot of steps going up and down it was well worth the hike!! The cavern was a treat to see and the impact of the scenery was awesome when we got to the opening looking up into the canopy. I felt like I was waiting for a ship to appear from out of the water!! This was part of an awesome tour from Fun Tours.com. Carlos was an exceptional guide and the day was packed full of fun experiences through Santo Domingo Dom. Republic. It was an awesome tour and day. Thankyou Carlos and his Educated Mentor who gave us an outstanding view of some of the fabulous history of an old and beautiful city. If you have trouble climbing steps this would be difficult, but worth the trouble.

Although it was VERY muggy (you would expect it to be cool underground, hmm?) this was one of the most amazing parts of our DR trip. Our guide was exceptional (perfect English, very knowledgeable, friendly, funny) and the caves / lakes were breathtaking. If you go to Santo Domingo, you really should take time to see Tres Ojos. WARNING: there are A LOT of stairs and no ramps or elevators. Our guide said "once you go down, you have to climb back out." The stairs are not steep, but there are nearly 300 of them before you get back to where you started, so take a bottle of water and don't try it if you normally use a cane or a walker, you'll end up meeting the local ambulance personnel and I do not hear good things about medical services in the DR unless you have a lot of cash. ; )

very very great experience. The best cave to see in the whole region. Also very good maintained. Climbing of stairs and the dark maybe a little bit uneasy for elderly people but worth.
