I've been to the other "El Agave", that's in the Zona Colonial, it's called "la cantina del agave". The design is really pretty, nice atmosphere. The drinks are good, you have about 20 different margaritas with different fruits.
The food was not good though, I had nachos, that came cold (not that the service was long, just that they don't heat them up), with very little topping, kinda seemed like a bag of corn chip. And my boyfriend had tacos, very small, not much meat, and mostly onion.
If I had been a poor Mexican farmer, it would have been great i'm sure, but paying almost 40$ for that (10$ for a margarita, 10$ for each meal) seemed unreasonable.
