The restaurant at La Tortuga is a bit off-the-beaten-path in Las Terrenas as it is off the main strip of restaurants in the neighborhood called the Pueblo de los Pescadores. But it is well worth discovering. The food was excellent for the price. And since they are a block or two off the strip, I thought it was a good value and a nice change from the other restaurants.
The service was outstanding too. The restaurant owner personally asked if I liked what the chef cooked, and if it was prepared the way I wanted. What other restaurant does that? I thought it was a nice personal touch. The atmosphere is quiet and relaxed. I'd go again.
