“Nice view - lots of food”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 12, 2013

A bottle of wine and a tapas plate. We were 2 and understood that the plate was for 4 - but no problem, we almost finished it. Good food - but more quantity than quality. The waiter was a bit to pushy and did not have information on wine/glass but quick service.
The painting in the entry room is a bit strange. Or fun. Or ...why?

“great pig leg”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 7, 2013

the place is on top of a ritzy mall called blue mall, so its not very authentic but we wanted to be safe for our first night out driving there was by itsef insane, but we made it! anyway this is a very good value for money with exceptional service, and the food is very good, all the tapas are delicious. but. take the roasted pig leg. its crusty from the outside and moist and delicious inside!! for desert go on level down and grab a chocolate crepe from the food court not to be missed. enjoy

“Scenic, Chill out, delicious paella, and tapas”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 24, 2013

I have been in Casa Avila twice. The first time we asked for paella and some tapas as entree; the second time we asked the whole platter of Tapas (highly recommended, I think the best platter if you are in a group)
We also asked for Sangria; it was Ok, the sangria must get better, the first time we went it was better than the second, so please dont lose your quality, otherwise that would be reflected on results!
Price vs Quality obtained and food : this equation is Ok, so the price is Ok for the good wuality flavor an experience you get.
I strongly recomment to go to Casa Avila specially when you have visitors coming from other countries, because it was an awesome relaxing and scenic view. You can see Santo Domingo from other perspective, the city perspective, it is in the top of the mall, so its great.
the music: please put some FLAMENCO CHILL OUT OR SOMETHING, this would do way better to the beautiful place you have in that rooftop.
So in general, it is a very nice, safe, good, and different option, try it.
