Le Bistro is a gem of a restaurant, although currently only open in the evenings and closed at weekends. The chef and the cuisine is French and uses local meat, seafood and spices extremely well. I loved the avocado and watermelon salad, and the shoulder of pork was cooked to perfection and came in a generous portion. Always be sure to ask for the specials of the day in addition to the (modest) menu. The house wine was absolutely fine and the bar looked sufficiently well-stocked to deal with most requests.
The restaurant is quite small with a handful of tables inside and 3-4 small tables (only suitable for one or two guests each) outside on a narrow balcony. So larger parties might need to book ahead. The view isn't exactly the best (I think it was a transformer of the local electricity supply company right opposite), and for much of the evening when I was there diners were taunted by a beggar on the street pleading for leftovers and cash. Such is life in Roseau, but the management should be aware that this can be off-putting to some people. Excellent wi-fi available.
