“One of my favorite sights of the island!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 16, 2014

This was one of my favorite sights, BUT you have to be willing to swim back through the gorge or it would not get my 5 stars. It's a nice cool pool with a rock bottom to the average sightseer. However, if you swim through the gorge to the back, it's like something you see only in the movies (in fact, it was in a movie!) Very awesome experience with a waterfall at the very end. I was chilled from the swim, but it was worth it for the view and memory. Luckily this wasn't crowded by any tours at the time for us and it was a nice way to icebath our calves after hiking Boiling Lake!

“Titou Gorge with Bumpling Tours”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 27, 2014

This was part of a three stop tour via Bumpling Tours, who i highly recommend. It was not as cold as I had anticipated, pretty crowded. About 200 yard swim in a increasing current (from the falls, no doubt). Can climb up part of falls (3 or 4 feet) and jump out from there. Easy swim back. I would suggest most people do this as part of a tour (as least very young and older swimmers) as the current is noticeable but not dangerous as you would just go back to the entry spot! Unusual place. Worth a stop.

“Its not cold”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 4, 2014

We went to the gorge on a wet day so we had the gorge to ourselves. Nice walk over a narrow suspension bridge up to the start of the gorge. The current was very strong due to the rain but we managed to swim to the waterfall with some effort and zoomed back with the current. Coming from England we did not think the water was at all cold. Really good fun and it was free !!!!

“Needed to rent a floatie for this one!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 2, 2014

This waterfall was really strong when we went as it had just rained a lot. Paid 5EC each to rent a waist floatie for the few minutes it took to do the swim up and float back. Couldn't get really close due to the volume and strength but got to see it. We arrived just as 2 tour buses were leaving so had the place to ourselves. Wear some water shoes. We didn't. The first few steps in and out, the water polished the rocks to make them slippery.
