“Nice view, excellent food”
Reviewed July 14, 2013 via mobile

We went to this place twice and both times the food was excellent. We had a lovely local fish, Drado and the salad with goat cheese. Its Really close to the windsurf spot in spanish waters.

“Great place, great food, great staff”
Reviewed June 20, 2013

We had a lovely dinner last night.
Overlooking the spanish water and enjoying a great meal.

And the staff was very friendly.

The Pier is absolutely worth a visit.

“It had potential, but in the end another average restaurant”
Reviewed June 11, 2013

Visited the restaurant during restaurant week. The interior has changed since it took over the previous restaurant and its location is still one of their strongest points. Unfortunately they have installed a roof that gives it a cheap "strandtent" (Dutch beachclub) feel. In my opinion they should have opted to expand the palapas. It gets you out of the wind though.

Service started off okay, by presumably the manager/owner, and gave us a feeling this restaurant would be much better than its predecessors. But than a few more tables came in and you noticed they are stressed. Not that it was busy, they just were not working efficiently. A downfall for so many restaurants on the island. Yet they were friendly.

The food was ok to good, trying out a restaurant during restaurant week is not always the best option. Chefs need to be creative to come up with three tasty dishes and still make a profit. They succeeded more or less, the starter, House-smoked rib-eye with puffed garlic/rosemary vinaigrette, and the main, Hangersteak with demi-glace sauce, risotto and green salad were tasty. Unfortunately the preferred cuisson of the meat, I wanted med-rare and the others medium turned out med-rare but cold for me and med-well to well-done for the others. And because they did not check on us until we were almost finished they couldn't do anything about it. And sadly the dessert did not make it right, our ginger panna cotta with mango coulis sounded promising but was rather bland. And the chocolate mousse was not really "fluffy" and "moussy" if you catch my drift.

And when we left, probably due to their stress level (30 couverts on 4 front staff?) nobody told us goodbye. Bit of a missed opportunity to make everything from an average experience to good experience. All in all its ok, and it has potential, but still needs a lot of tweaking.

Reviewed June 2, 2013

We already come on Curacao since 1992. Many restaurants we visited but this is the since
two months the place to go. One of the best locations, very friendly service and very good food.
A must when you visit Curacao. Jaap and Corrie Bovenkerk

“Just opened”
Reviewed May 1, 2013 via mobile

Just opened. Very nice location and very enthousiastic young women running it. The menu bodes good food for good prices. They have a nice wine list and a full serviced bar with premium brands at good prices. Just went in for drinks so haven't tried the food, but the chef is a well known character on the island who can cook anything.
It will be a nice and well priced location in this ares where upscale priced beach locations are in the majority.
