We intended to visit a number of beaches during our brief visit to Curacao, but only made it to a few. Kenepa was our first stop on our beach-hopping day and it was stunner. Perched at the look-out area near the parking lot, Kenepa is perhaps one of the most picturesque beaches we saw in Curacao. It's postcard perfect, inviting you to just stay there and drink in it's beauty for a spell. Once you're on the beach, however, it was fairly crowded, mostly with locals. All of the shaded areas were taken, and we found it difficult to find a comfortable spot to settle. The view from the beach was beautiful, too. We brought our own snorkel-gear so that we weren't limited to beaches with rental areas. (I think Kenepa may have had a rental stand, but can't recall.) Entry into the water was challenging as it's rocky and difficult to keep your balance while putting on your fins without getting an obnoxious amount of pebbles washed into them. We snorkeled the far cliff/shore area. It was good snorkeling but nothing notable. If you want a great snorkeling spot, check-out Playa Lagun.
