“Picteresque but not our favorite”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 25, 2014

We intended to visit a number of beaches during our brief visit to Curacao, but only made it to a few. Kenepa was our first stop on our beach-hopping day and it was stunner. Perched at the look-out area near the parking lot, Kenepa is perhaps one of the most picturesque beaches we saw in Curacao. It's postcard perfect, inviting you to just stay there and drink in it's beauty for a spell. Once you're on the beach, however, it was fairly crowded, mostly with locals. All of the shaded areas were taken, and we found it difficult to find a comfortable spot to settle. The view from the beach was beautiful, too. We brought our own snorkel-gear so that we weren't limited to beaches with rental areas. (I think Kenepa may have had a rental stand, but can't recall.) Entry into the water was challenging as it's rocky and difficult to keep your balance while putting on your fins without getting an obnoxious amount of pebbles washed into them. We snorkeled the far cliff/shore area. It was good snorkeling but nothing notable. If you want a great snorkeling spot, check-out Playa Lagun.

“If you only see one beach...”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 24, 2014

make it this one. Most beautiful beach overview we've ever seen makes this our perennial favorite. Water is calm and with outstanding clarity, making for good snorkelling along the rock walls. Not crowded at all during the week, busy on weekends; where a lot of locals go .

“Best Beach in Curacao”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 22, 2014

We stayed at the Lodge at Kura Hulanda and this was by far our our favorite beach on the island. Beach was relatively calm and it was never over-crowded. Parking is easy and you may run into the local that will let you pet, and take a picture with his pet iguana.

“One larger nicest beaches in curacao”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 11, 2014

Great sand and clear water. One of larger beaches on the island. Facilities and good deal of parking. Cliffs to dive from for the adventure minded.
