“Spectacular water”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 14, 2013

I have never seen water so clear. This was a stop on our tour and I did not know we would have time to swim so we didn't have suits. Big regret. If this beach wasn't at the top of the island we would have returned to spend the day. It is absolutely gorgeous. No amenties though so come prepared.

“Most beautiful beach on the island”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 11, 2013

This beach is by far the most beautiful beach on the island. I actually should not be writing about it, not to attract more tourists visiting this beach/bay for the day.

The water is crystal clear and the sand is white. Just like a real caribean beach should be.

“Enjoyed it but Lagun is better”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 9, 2013

This is a very nice beach, but it is overcrowded. Wonderful snorkling, but way too many people and no way to change clothes. I kind of hide, but people surely got a view of my butt.

“good snorkeling & sand....no amenities”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 5, 2013

We actually went to this beach in search of the cliff-diving or cliff-jumping some people told us could be done here. We didn't find an area which looked safe-enough to attempt, though I did see on the southern side of the shoreline, down near a point, there may have been an area where it was possible.

The snorkeling was good to both the south and north sides of the beach. I'd advise that the current seemed to get a little strong if you snorkel far along the south side out toward a point of land....it was bit challenging to get back -- against the current and into some fairly strong winds which whipped the water up a bit.

The sand area was pretty good. A half-dozen picnic tables for use, most with sun-shades. The beach entry was possibly the most sandy/comfortable we experienced at several Curacao beaches.

As far as amenities go, just prepare yourself for their being NONE, and you won't be disappointed! This was not a problem for us. In fact, there even was a old (OLD!) ice-cream truck that pulled into the parking lot at one point, and yes, we had to scream-for-ice-cream.
