“great view of North Coast”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 5, 2013

The trails were well maintained and the view is awesome. This is on the west side of the island and very remote. I recommend going close to sunset and then grabbing dinner at Landhuis Misje (closed on Sundays).

“My favorite part of our Curacao trip”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 26, 2013

I loved the scenery, the water crashing against the shore is beautiful - the waves are so powerful and the explosions of water at Boka Pistol were so worth the trip! The natural bridge is beautiful and getting to go down into the cave was pretty awesome. There are little lizards running around everywhere and we were excited to get to see a couple of iguanas through our trek to the various bokas. The landscape is a little surreal, its almost desolate in parts, then a bit of a forest on the way to Boka Pistol and some small little beaches as well. If you love a little bit of an adventure and scenic hiking, this is a must! And its only $1.50 a person!

This bokas aren't for everyone - its semi difficult terrain so if you have trouble climbing or walking along rocky paths you may want to skip it. There are smoother paths to Boka Tabla and Wondomi, though some of it has been washed away in parts. The path to Boka Pistol is all lava rock, as long as you have good shoes, you should be fine though. Bring water, as the sun is hot on top of the rocks and you can be out there for a couple of hours.

We had heard this was a place for break ins and sadly we saw remnants of broken glass in the parking lots where break ins had occurred. We made sure to leave nothing in our car - everything was packed in our backpack on us or back at our hotel. We arrived first thing at the park and were one of the only ones there for quite some time so I was worried would come back to find our rental car broken into, but we didn't have any issues.

“Jeep Tour”

Had a great time on this tour. It was excellent to see the landscape of Curacao. We traveled with Actief Tours and our guide was Zander. He was most entertaining and made the trip so much fun!

“BEAUTIFUL SIDE OF CURACAO”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 8, 2013

We emailed the park in advance and hired a wonderful guide, Cyrell, who took my teenage daughters, husband and me around the caves and different spots in this amazing national park. Only $20 per person and we learned a lot. We spent about 2.5 hours total, but there's a little cafe if you want to stay longer.

“Well worth the short trip”

Strange landscape, crashing surf, interesting caves you can go into; very interesting and worth the 10-minute jaunt from Lodge Kura Hulanda.
