The sandy beach and small lagoon really suited the kind of snorkelling that this elderly tourist enjoys, it would also be a perfect spot for young children to swim. The pools looked fine but we were either on the hotel beach or on a day trip during the entire holiday.
In general the food was really good, the steak at the grill shack was exceptional and while the buffet's logistics - eg queuing and hunting salt and pepper - were frustrating the actual dishes and variety were always worth trying.
The other evening options were also high standard with the exception of the Japanese style Asian offering that really was work in progress. It would surely be better to have a good Caribbean menu on offer rather than trying and failing to recreate the Far East?
But overall the resort provided that relaxed break and while we did not have little ones with us it looked as if there was a good on site operation to occupy children, with lots of enclosed facilities.
Our trips from the square kiosk in front of reception's desk were also well worth the money.More
