“Food does not worth the price at all”

We were attracted by the nice view in the beach at sunset time. Unfortunatelly the rest of the dinner turned out to be much less nice. If you take the seabass (the most expensive meal in the fish menu) you will end up in your plate with a 10cm long filet of seabass (the menu says scortched seabass but the skin was not even cooked) with on the top 5 slices of steam boiled carotte, 4 green beans, 5 green peas and 2 ravioli that doesnt have any taste...not only that the meal definitely lack of taste (the only sauce is water that looks like the one used to cooked the vegetables) but that the portion is so small that we had to finish the dinner at the pizzeria next door. the wine and the service was ok though.

“Beach Restaurant”
Reviewed April 1, 2013

We have been in the formal reastaurant twice and it was about time to have the diner at the beach. We were less formal dressed and enjoyed the scenery and the open kitchen (grill). The food was well prepared. We suggested the waitress to take away the olive oil because it tasted awfull, which she did. We enjoyed the sunset and the food.

“Great food soes not merit lacklustre service”
Reviewed March 31, 2013 via mobile

Our experience in many of the restaurants on Curacao was replicated at our last lunch on our vacation. The Zest restaurant is nicely located on the Jan Thiel/ papagayo beach with its own piece of beach that is serviced by the restaurant and nice lounge beds can be reserved, We walked in for lunch and the menu was promising including the special, then we waited for our drinks (around noon in the caraibic this is deadly) and with the food already ordered we were on the brink of leaving. Everything turned for the better when the drinks were served just in time and the food did not take too long. My special of the day, pasta with salmon and crab was just spectacular, everybody happy again. As so often on Curacao, it was difficult again to actually pay for the meal. Likely the service issues were an incident, but the kitchen saved the day.

“Great place!!”

The best restaurant in Curacao. Don't expect a nice service, just the basic. The best thing to do is to stay in the pool right in the front, and enjoy the day.

“Save your money for another restaurant”
Reviewed March 27, 2013

The view was lovely- right at the beach. The prices were high, but we don't mind paying higher prices if the quality and taste support the prices. Our group of 7 was very disappointed in the flavors of the dishes. The red snapper had no flavor at all and the filet mignon was very tough. they did not have steak knives? You couldn't get tap water. You had to buy bottled water if you wanted water. They also charge for bread.
