Owner description: We are a Curacao Tourisme Board approved PADI dive centre. We specialize in boat diving for the advanced along the East and North shore of Curacao and Klein Curacao. Since 2006 we have been catering to the experienced and fit diver only. We work in small groups of 8 or less. We have more boats but primarily use a 25 ft inflatable rib that can also be chartered by groups or individuals for high end dive adventures.

My second visit to Curaçao so went for a dive with Dive Charter Curaçao.
Niels the owner runs a 7mtr Rigid Inflatable which is in excellent order and feels safe out at Sea.
We had a great day out with Niels and his experience of the local waters was invaluable.
I wouldn't hesitate to use Dive charter Curaçao again as our next visit will show.

Thank Edward C

We had a group of three and did a private boat (cabin cruiser) charter for 2 days followed by doing the 4 day "safari package" described on the website. We had a wonderful time and did East Point, Klein Curacao, West point and several other dives along the West side including the Superior Producer wreck. On the way to Klein there was a group of dolphins that came along side of the boat for about ten minutes which was an unexpected bonus. Other great sea life was also seen during dives sea urchins, sea cucumber, sea slugs, lobster, barracuda, spider crab, turtles, conch and many more except no seahorses, sharks or frog fish but this is just incentive to return to Curacao. We also dove Directors Bay, Small Wall, Sea Aquarium, Vathys Paradise, Smokey, Eagle Ray Alley, Best Reef, Watamula & ReDiHo.

Niels was very good at picking us up at the hotel on time but make sure if you book him that he will do it for all days you are diving with him to avoid the extra cost of a rental car. Niels had a nice cadre of experienced dive masters go with us but Bill, his regular dive master, did not dive due to an injury. Overall you get to see places that most other dive operators will not venture to and you always have a small group. Partly why some boats won't venture to locations Niels goes to is due to distance and wave conditions. Some areas like East Point have rough waves but nothing unmanageable. You should research the dive sites you really want to see prior to traveling to Curacao and tell Niels where you want to go especially on a private charter.

There were some negatives including waiting for tank deliveries and one day a woman was injured requiring us to return to the dock. After the woman was taken away by ambulance, Niels only took us to dive at the mouth of the Spanish Bay which was very close to his docking area. While the dive was not bad it certainly was not on par with the other areas. Even though the injury to the woman had nothing to do Niels, it did feel like Niels was trying to avoid further gas costs at our experience expense. It would seem a smart business person would try overcome that perception by going to the original site or at least give some credit back on the fees being charged.

The private charter rate was very reasonable given what other operators on the island charge and the speed boat used to get to many sites was a pleasure but it has no cover so make sure you have a hat with a chin strap or some Vaseline based sun screen as you will get sun burned fairly quickly. On our last day we followed, by car, Niels with his speed boat in tow to West Point and entered the water from a small bay. The drive was pleasant and much better than a 2 hour boat ride from most of the resorts. We completed the dives fairly quickly due to their relatively close proximity. Our dive interval was done at the Lagun which is a very scenic little beach carved in between some cliffs. The lunches served were fine but basic. Niels tends to be slow in responding to email and it was somewhat disappointing no dive was done on the North side of the island as advertised on the Dive Charter web site for the "safari package". The "safari package" is only about $12.00 more dollars per day more than what the large boat dive operators charge for a two tank dive but the the value far exceeds the nominal price variation. The dive masters and Niels are all very personable and are knowledgeable about the dive sites and all things Curacao. I would not hesitate to use Dive Charter again even though they were sold out of their T-shirts with the cool logo on it.

Small, organized, willing to take you where you want to go, flexible and professional. Niels and Bill are a true pleasure to dive with. We recommend them if you are experienced, want to see great dive sites off of Curacao and don't want to be stuck with a crowded dive operator.

Did some great dives with Dive Charter Curaçao at Eastpoint. With experienced guides and top equipement we had a couple of nice drift dives. Raw undamaged reef with beautiful sponges and fairylike arches were a treat.
Between the two dives we had a simple but tastfull lunch.
I would recomment this driven Dive Charter to every spoiled diver that visits Curaçao!

Best Diving trip for experienced divers! No easy dives but worth the effort. Well organised and perfect boat.
No 40 minute dive but as long as possible given the air of the divers. We dived almost An hour and saw magnificant fish, coral and mantas.
I definately come back here!
