The value so heavily depends on managing expectations. This is a GREAT way to see and experience Curacao. Be prepared to ride in a bus with no windows and an ice chest full of beer, pop and water. very generous. Speakers had a short so it was loud and sporadic, great for the young at heart. Lunch was amazingly delicious. Call me Anthony Bordain but goat stew was a great experience roadside with the natives. Overall, it was safe, a good value and a great way to meet diverse people... Couples from Columbia, coasta rica, Sweden, US and Canada (even though they were obviously Japanese) but that's another story. learned a lot, nice pace, got some sun... All in all a interesting way to spend a Sunday. Eddie the tour guide was charming. Highlight... Never any panhandling .

We enjoyed this reasonably priced tour of the bridge, beach, historic home district and distillery. The driver and guide were extremely friendly and informative. They answered any and all questions, and the office staff addressed my concerns from home too. The sea aquarium beach was lovely. It included a sheltered cove, a swimming pool and many nice shops, bars and the all important bathroom facilities. We had some light rain during the bus ride, and since this is a converted open-air school bus, we did get slightly wet. However, it wasn't enough to ruin the experience, and Uncle Bob kept the water, soda and beer flowing. Thanks guys for a great tour.

So, the couple we were with convinced us to join them on this event. Generally, this is not something we would normally do on our island visits, but we thought "what the heck". It is simply a bus tour either to the west or east end of the island with factoids and some stops in between. The mini-history and stops along the way were nice, and the guides great and a good way to fill a gap in a morning or afternoon. Fun, but not over the top.

My wife, my adult son and I reserved this tour a few weeks before arriving at Curacao on December 10. We don't often take organized tours, but this one looked like too much fun to pass up, what with the brightly painted converted school bus, the many glowing reviews here on Trip Advisor and the ridiculously cheap price.

Although we experienced periodic rain showers, we all had a great time. The rain actually helped keep things cool. And it wasn't enough to soak through to the skin. Sylvian, the driver was a fountain of knowledge about the country's history and culture. Bob (I hope I got your name right), the beverage distributor, did a great job answering questions, pointing out one highlight or another, and all the time making sure everyone had a beer, soda or water if they wanted one.

The tour's itinerary has been well commented on in previous reviews. The Curacao Liqueur factory stop was a bit too touristy for my tastes. My son did buy a couple bottles of the liqueur and later found out to his dismay that he could've bought them cheaper at one of the vendor's kiosks at the dock. You'd think you'd get the BEST prices at the factory. The Irie Tour folks have nothing to do with the pricing, so I do not place any blame whatsoever on them. But, because of what I perceive as greed on the disteller's part, I won't be buying their liqueur any time soon.

Because of the rain, the beach stop, as well as the length of the tour, were cut short by about 1/2 an hour. Nobody can do anything about the weather, so this does not reflect negatively at all on the tour. It's just the weather.

Bottom line: take this tour! Fun ride, fun tour guides, plenty to drink on board at a price that can't be beat. Thanks guys!

After getting off the cruise ship we met Dennis of irie tours. We got on a bus with Ariel and his assistant on the bus. The tour lasted three hours around the island with a stop at a rum distillery (free samples) and time at the beach. There was a very large cooler on the bus filled with cold drinks, water, beer as well as rum was available for mixed drinks included in the price. Everyone on the bus had a great time, with some getting off to shop a short walk to the ship and others getting off at the dock. Will take this tour again next time we are in Curacao.
