We went there because we were in the mood for the ribs which we heard about from Tripadvisor. Let me tell you, they were succulent, maybe the best i've had in a long time. The atmosphere was quaint and comfortable. Maricel (hope I'm spelling her name right) was the most polite and jovial server we met in Curacao. We enjoyed the meal so much I sent my brother and sister there the next night with a party of 10 and they all raved about Mangos! I highly recommend this place to be on your list if you're visiting Curacao anytime in the near future.

Well prepared food with attentitive service. Rather small, so reservations are recommended. While close to the road, they do provide some shielding that limits road noise. One of the better meals we had on the island.

We ordered the pork ribs - the meat falls off the bone. Very good. The dutch potatoes were out of this world. We wanted to try the dessert but we were too full from dinner. Staff was friendly and the chef is really nice. Restaurant is really close to Hilton & Marriott hotels (5 km).

Note: they are closed on Mondays

This roadside restaurant delivers on intimate patio dining and personalized service. Chef/owner Anton hits the target on simple and delicious food with fresh ingredients. Expect attentive service. Mangos is only open for dinner from 5-11 - closed Monday and no lunch service. A wall of cactus and flowering bushes provide privacy on one side, while lattice work shields the front. The road noise does overpower the Latin music a bit, but the ceiling fans provide white noise and keep the temperature down too. Stringed red and white lights add more ambiance as do the tablecloths and tea lights. Beware, smoking is allowed - part of Caribbean culture - as is true with most local spots. The tin roof would make for a nice sound if dining on a rainy day. The server lit vanilla incense to ward of early evening mosquitos - which didn't seem to offend the hummingbird or finch that did a fly-by.

The food is served quickly, is moderately priced, and portions are hearty. Complimentary "funchi", fried sticks of cornmeal, were served immediately. The ribs are a crowd pleaser and come with four options for carbs: white rice, yucca, french fries or delicious Dutch potatoes, a local favorite (browned with onions). Half a dozen dessert options are tempting, but the "heavenly mud" I delivers for the chocoholic - rich velvety pleasure. $34 USD before a tip, including a glass of wine.

This "on the way" restaurant is a worthy destination.

We went there based upon all the reviews, and had a good diner there, but
if I compare it with other restaurants we've eaten at in Curacao, I can only rate this OK, I'm afraid.

The menu is very standard and hardly inspiring, food is ok, service is good!

DO visit it when you are in the neighborhood/looking for something different, but it's not worth a big detour.
