“Don't Rain on my Dinner”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 5, 2012

We had a fun time here at the brassiere. The setting is a rainforest in the Inca and Maya style. The food was excellent and the service superb. They had a most unique salad bar in a separate air conditioned area with the best selections ever. They even went off menu to accommodate us for dessert.

Dear Shilo2,
Thanks for your nice review. People like you make us feel that we are achieving our goal. Hope to see you back soon.
And don’t worry if it starts raining in the rainforest we will ask the Shaman to perform an anti-rain dance to stop the rain so your dinner won’t get wet. LOL.
Thanks again

“Good service, great food!”

The service was excellent and both the salad bar and the meats are splendid. L'Aldea Restaurant is at the very least a monthly if not bi-weekly choice for us.

“Amazing atmosphere, Good food”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 31, 2012

Similar to many brazilian steakhouses, the wait staff comes around with many different meat choices on skewers to shave off individual servings. A very fun environment and the architecture/atmosphere was one incredible. Most of the meat was quite good; some was very, very underdone (and I'm normally a rare/medium rare meat eater). Salad bar had good variety, but was nothing special. Service was great!

Dear Michelle J.

Thanks for the time you took to write this review. We appreciate your comments and are always open for suggestions. As you commented that the salad bar was nothing special, we would appreciate your more specific collaboration. Please let us know what you think that can be changed or added so we can also please you and yours. Some of our guests find our salad bar excellent and we know for sure that we have the biggest and best salad bar in Curacao, but that doesn’t mean that we are the best out of Curacao there is always space for improvement for we strongly believe that good can always be better. And who better than you can help us achieve to be the BEST salad bar in the world.

I will include my email in order for you to contact me at your convenience so we can hear your well respected opinion to make it better.

Cordially yours
Hubert Solagnier,

“Amazing food, incomparable service”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 24, 2012

We were told that this was a great restaurant by our resort staff. They failed to tell us that it is an "experience" as well. From the moment you step out the complimentary taxi, you know that you are in for a treat. The facade of the building looks like a Mayan temple. The inside is just as grand and exotic. The service is impeccable. You actually have to almost beg for them to stop serving you food! The meat is tender and well seasoned. Be sure to save room for the dessert though! Also, you must try the campirina! It is a great local alternative to a margarita. Trust me. This is one dining experience not to be missed. Also, here is a good tip. Wednesday night is couples night, and the lady's meal is half off!

“Excellent Experience!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 24, 2012

My wife and I went to L'Aldea while on our honeymoon and it was an excellent experience! The food started with the salad bar and through every meat was very very good! Lots to choose from on the salad bar as well as meat options!
The service was great and the manager on duty went out of her way to make sure everything was great since it was a special occasion for us.
We were driven to dinner and back to the Marriott in the L'Aldea shuttle. On the way back after dinner my camera fell out of my pocket and I didn't realize it until the next morning. Marriott called the restaurant and asked if it had been turned in and it hadn't. As you can imagine we were devastated because we lost 6 days worth of honeymoon pics, plus months of pics from other special occasions. We were very impressed with the staff's willingness and concern to help us find our camera. The staff did everything in their power to help us but to no evail until 2 days after returning home we get a call that the owner (Hubert) has been in touch with the people who have our camera and he helped us get in touch with them to get it sent to us. Very very happy that Hubert and his staff were so helpful to us!!
In everyway I would recomment this restaurant and we will for sure be back soon!!!

We were so glad that we could have helped you get your camera back. It doesn’t happen always but when it happens it makes us feel so good.
Please let us know if you got all your valuable pictures, from your honeymoon. We will be here for your second, third and fourth, honeymoon and make sure it will be with the same nice madam you had your first.
