Baoase is a wonderfully romantic resort that we enjoyed as a couple to celebrate a birthday. We will always remember the fabulous time we had at Baoase.
The resort is approximately a 40 minutes taxi ride from the airport. When we arrived, we were surprised to find Baoase is located in a residential neighborhood. However, once we passed through its large wooden gate, a different world waited for us on the other side. We were very warmly greeted and escorted immediately to our room #402, the Colonial by Marchand (? spelling) who explained everything we needed to know for our stay.
The Colonial is located above the office in the front of the resort less than a three-minute walk to the beach and restaurant. The Room is lovely, well-appointed, and has all the comforts of home. Our only issue is due to its location, we were reminded by the occasional neighborhood ambience (car music, dog barking and distant traffic) that we were in an active neighborhood.
Nevertheless, the owners have gone above and beyond through the resort’s design and placement of thick fauna and flora throughout the property, to give guests the feeling of being in an intimate paradise far from civilization. The suites are discreetly positioned in private locations throughout the resort.
The open-air restaurant is superb in its setting, the service, as well as the delicious food. The breakfast buffet is incredible. The dinner experience is not to be missed.
The beach is warm, cozy and picture perfect. We would definitely return to Baoase but stay in a suite close to the beach!
