“Lahara Liquor”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 11, 2012

THe factory is small and it is a self guided tour. You can sample several varietals for free and can purchase liquor and souvenirs here. Worth a quick stop.

“Very unfriendly”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 23, 2012

This distillery is not worth a visit! There is no tour to guide you through the distillery. There are a few signs and a video explaining how the liqueur is made. You can taste it but out of small plastic cups without any further information. During our visit they started cleaning the floor, so the whole room smelled like that. I've been to other distilleries and enjoyed those visits much more.

no tour, totally ignored, only interested in us buying something and prices were high. Hard to find location. A waste of time.

“Free samples, decent souvenir shop in the back.”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 9, 2012

If you've got lots of time in Curacao, why not spend 10-15 minutes here? There are free samples, a shop in the back and bathrooms.

It's not a museum by any measure, but it's free and the wall display shows the bottle designs from way back. The shop in the main building sells the famous liquor in all sizes and flavors at prices lower than in town. The shop also offers "Alcolado Glacial" which has been used for generations to cool off and provide relief for mosquito bites. There is a plastic non-descript spray bottle (shaped like the "I Dream of Genie" flask) to the right of the Liquor Bottle display case with the "Glacial" liquid that you can spritz and apply to your arms/hands.
