Connected by a detachable bridge to Ottobanda. This is the main downtown. Lots of shops, forts, colorful buildings, iguana cafe and waterfront. best take a stroll in the late afternoon when temperatures are low

Best place to eat in the Old Market is called "Yvonnes." Feast on a platter of fried red snapper, peas and rice, and salad. We came back the next day for the same meal!

There are the best of both worlds here. Upscale shopping for the cruise ships and local artist shopping for the collectors like myself. We visited in August. Be it known that shopping closes at 6p.m. sharp.

It's in the middle of everything. Has lots of shops. You would think by the looks of it when you drive around that you don't want to get out of the car but the people of Curacao are friendly and taught in school to be nice to all tourist. Lots of cool boutiques to buy things you wouldn't normally see, but they have all the everyday stuff.

Everything close EARLY here. I mean by sundown there isn't much open. There are all kinds of shops. On the main street, behind Handelskade, it's the high end duty free shopping. The smaller side streets have more local flare and souvenirs. It's a definite must to walk through. Be sure to take your picture with the life size Curacao and Dushi signs.
