This is well worth the visit and the $10.00 entry fee, but if you are Jewish your'e going there anyway. The floor of this old and still functioning sanctuary is sand to remind us of the desert. It used to be conservative-orthodox but now it is re-constructionist. There is a 14th century Torah in the museum.

This is a beautiful synagogue with beautiful white sand floors and gorgeous wood. There is also a small museum with some interesting pieces going back almost as far as the building itself and a small gift shop.

The synagogue is beautiful, well preserved and has a very interesting history . It has an adjoining museum that displays many ritual objects as well as histories of some of the Jewish families on the island. Very worthwhile visit.

A very special place with a sand floor. Enjoy all the history of this wonderful synagogue, plus an excellent museum next door! Truly amazing!

I'd read a few reviews so I was expecting something more than this is. It's a synagogue which you can visit and see inside, there is a leaflet that explains some of the features and history which is fairly well laid out but a guide would be better.

There is a small museum with two rooms on two floors with a variety of nick nacks laid out in a seemingly random order. There is an old torah which came from Spain during the inquisition which was quite interesting and probably worth more description.

It's $10 for what is something really quite short, they could make it better by laying out the exhibits in more of a chronological order and providing more history of judaism in the caribbean.
