I recommend this place. Just double check your booking. There are 2 types of rooms interior and exterior. The exterior costs more but you have a view of the ocean. There is also free parking and its right beside the only Starbucks on the island amongst other restaurants.

However, the problems revolved around slow, and unprofessional service at times. Also the lack of variety of food options. Particularly the service in Nautilus seemed unwanted for the a la carte menu, particularly from the restaurant manager. One experience that stood out was when I ordered a medium rare steak and eggs and it took 50 minutes for my steak to be served and it was very well done. In this situation the slow service paired extremely well with the slow service. It was also much faster to go to the bar yourself than to order a drink from the waiter many times. The staff was often annoyed as our group was larger and we felt like a burden many times, even with adequate tipping. My suggestion is just get the buffet yourself if you actually want to eat anything before you starve.

The front desk staff was also not as welcoming as they could have been, there was one new trainee that was beyond nicer than the rest. Train for short :).

Now for the positives. The beach and infinity salt water pool were incredible. It was not busy during our trip at the end of September. The rooms were a good size and the downtown location was incredible. Our absolute highlight was one staff member in particular, Shiela. Shiela herself made up x10 for all other experiences. She made us feel incredibly welcome and went above and beyond to make our experience wonderful. She is in charge of helping guests plan excursions, and she recommended the abosulte best excursion for us. I 100% recommend to break up your stay at the hotel to do the Beach hopping, snorkeling excursion. You go to 4 different stops on the Western side of the island, with cliff jumping, cave exploring, snorkeling with sea turtles and beautiful beaches. Shiela had wonderful ideas and such amazing energy. She checked in with us before and after the tour and even said bye to us when were leaving the hotel. Please please visit her when you go to the hotel, she was the absolute highlight.

They had a BBQ lunch and dinner on the Xfinity beach bar that was incredible and they had a dj in the afternoon, special cocktails, and a steel drum band at night. The food this day was best out of all days. The included starbucks was also incredible. You can get almost all the same menu items that you can in the states and try everything you haven't tried before. The service at the blue bar in the lobby was much quicker and the wait staff there was above average compared to Nautilis. There were two standout staff in particular, Monique and Nick. They were both funny, personable, kind, and good at their jobs!

Overall I would recommend to stay here but there can be definite improvements made to customer service, especially compared to other all inclusive hotels I have stayed at. But the place has such great potential and really a few gem staff members.

I am even writing a post card to Shiela because she made our trip so memorable.

Room tip: Choose the all-inclusive and book in advance to get a good deal, paying for each meal would be pricy.

For the 5th time i was guest in This nice and beautiful hotel in the midlle of the island!
It's situated between the 2 parts of the island, Otrabanda and Punda! With the famous Wilhelminabridge as the possibility to walk to both sides.
The Renaissance hotel Curaçao is at the special beach just in the big harbour of Willemstad,Curaçao.
Every day i enjoy look after the boats and ships and boats and regular cruiseschips who pass the hotel against the harbour every day!
You can swim in a special private part of the sea and the swimmingpool like you swim in the ocean! Amazing experience!
The breakfast of the Renaissance hotel Curaçao is very good and famous by birthdays!
Drinks and snacks and dinner also to enjoy from the beach and the beachbar!
The Renaissance is in the heart of the shoppingcenter in the Riffort, a famous place with his own historical story!
Many restaurants and nice cosy terraces and cafés!
All historical spots in the center are good to walk from the hotel! There's a Starbucks shop in the internet café at the 2nd floor of the hotel where i've got many times some healthy yoghurt and fruits and more light specialities to take it to my room and eat it at the balcony of my room, just like you're at home!
The staff and the guest relation and most people of the frontdesk are very helpfull and gives you a real
welcomefeeling!!
Just beside and in the hotel is a famous big casino. Many locals there and tourists!
For me it's always a relaxingtime at a lovely situated hotel in the center and still at beach!!

I can recommand this hotel from the heart! Try it yourself!

Very attentive staff...Rooms was very good and clean...bed was super comfy and the sea view from the resort was amazing...the only thing missing was a very good on-site restaurant...the one in the lobby was good for breakfast and lunch, but for dinner guest might want other options...fortunately at walking distance you have some good option at Riffort.

The service was very good. Particularly the concierge. The room we had was well kept and housekeeping took very good care of us. The infinity pools were wonderful. The only reason I don't give it 5 stars is because of the Casino attached. I gamble for entertainment but expect the dealers will be personable and that there will be others who will talk to me. The casino dealers were talking to each other but there was no contact with me. The other players were able to speak English but no one talked. It was not fun. I don't gamble often but enjoy it when I get a chance. Don't expect a cruise ship experience. I tried three times but it was not very good. On the other hand the resort was great. I really enjoyed the concierge. She went out of her way to make it great. She got us two drivers Randolph and Emery. Both went out of the way to make our trip great. Curacao is a great island to visit and the Renaissance is a hotel to stay when you go. Just forget the casino. It was bad.
