We stayed at this hotel a year ago and we were very happy that the overall experience is still very good and there have been improvements on details. The rooms are still clean, roomy and everything is in working order. Staff is very friendly and helpful and will indeed do the extra step which gives you the hospitable feeling you like to have in a holiday resort. Location is probably the best of all hotels in Curacao because it is very central with both the city centre and a number of local attractions (including restaurants) within easy walking distance. Yes the beach is somewhat artificial but clean and comfortable and the view on the ships entering and leaving Curacao is simply spectacular. On that subject get a room on the Ocean side (indeed a bit more expensive) since besides the above mentioned view, they are quieter than those on the street side. Also consider to get a room# above (x)18 as it feels that both the air-conditioning and the hot water supply seem to be working better although this might be a coincidence. Food in the hotel is overall very good and the buffet breakfast has everything that one good wish for. Overall therefore good value and definitely worth a visit.

I travel in the Caribbean and South americas regions a lot and I must say this Hotel is pretty nice and the rates are not too high when compared to other Hotels . You must know that in the Caribbean Hotels are very expensive, usually for the same price you pay in Europe or Usa you get something half the quality you would expect but this Hotel is really a good deal.

Breakfast was nice, not a massive choice but food quality very high.

The hotel looks new, my room, on the 3rd floor, it was like just refreshed. Frigo bar, coffee machine, nice towels, nice bed linen and furniture.

Balcony of a good size, ideal for smokers. Air conditioning not too noisy and working well.

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing the water and highest floor possible

Imagine arriving at night at a resort, finding the Beach signposted at the second floor, walking onto to a Palm Beach with great white sands gently dipping down into the water, and the ocean stretching to the horizon - somewhat puzzling until you find out the beach is an infinity pool about 4 m above sea level...
Great pool bar, friendly staff combining relaxed atmosphere with attentive servce-so everything is perfect? Only until you open the curtains in you room and find yourself looking into an Atrium of the hotel, with people walking right before your window... So, windows closed again for the ret of a one-week stay!

Room Tip: Always ask for a room with outside view, even if it is more expensive - the indoors variant is just...

This review has to be taken in context. I'm a big traveller and usually arrange all of my own travel but this time used Cheap Caribbean. The hotel is pretty, modern, is on the water and plenty of amenities are available. For us, it was too big, too standard and I wish I had booked something with a little more charm, maybe not so big. Room service is wonderful and surprisingly, less expensive than dining at the restaurants. The Casino was entertaining, but not so much my thing. Service is very slow for food and drinks if you order drinks at the beach, etc. an automatic 15% is on top of every bill, supposed to go to the wait staff, but they don't see it that way. Apparently these monies are widely distributed to employees of the hotel and individual servers don't seem to see this as a tip and they are looking for more. The infinity pool is nice, as was the smaller fresh water pool. My son had fun swimming here and the weather was perfect but we wouldn't go back.

Room Tip: We upgraded to an ocean view room for an additional $50 per night.

Couples considering a Curacao trip should definitely consider this hotel. Compared to other hotels of a similar class (e.g. Hilton Curacao or the Curacao Marriott Beach Resort) it is much newer and its location is far superior, unless you like being remote and isolated.

The hotel is located in a new complex, nicely integrated in an old fort originally constructed to protect the island's harbor. Right next to the hotel are a (small) shopping mall, and several restaurants, bars (coffee lovers will adore both the Starbucks and the Douwe Egberts place), and a cinema complex. Willemstad is less than a 10 minutes walk away, and features many more restaurants and shops. So there is always something to do without the need to take a car or taxi: watch cruise ships arrive and depart from your ocean view room or from the poolside while sipping a cocktail (try my favorite: Blue Island Ice Tea); eat steak, local food, or Asian while watching boots in the harbor; go for an morning stroll to the floating market with Venezuelan merchants; go shopping for clothing, jewelry, souvenirs; go see a movie; sightseeing in Willemstad; ...

The breakfast buffet is fantastic: you can go for a true European style continental breakfast, or a full American breakfast prepared to your liking.

The hotel does not have a natural beach, but features a nice large artificial one with 2 "endless" pools. So you still get a real beach "feeling". Umbrella's and palm trees provide plenty of shade, and the pool bar has nice lunch, cocktail and dinner menus. Some of the lounge chairs are sagging somewhat and therefore uncomfortable, but the place was never too crowded, so we could always find others that didn't have this problem.

This is a perfect couples hotel. I would not recommend this hotel for families with small children. There is no kiddy pool, no pool guard, no activities for kids.

Lastly, hotel staff overall is very friendly - to Curacao standards (in our experience Curacao is less customer focused than sister island Aruba).

This was our second stay here (first time in 2011) and the quality has been consistent. Enjoy your stay!

Room Tip: Palm trees obscure (partially) the view in some ocean view rooms. Be sure to ask for a room with an...

Stayed here for a short getaway and loved the resort. We upgraded at check in to a resort view from interior view which only cost $20. The room was nice nothing 5 star but very good. The casino area was nice didn't seem very busy never a full blackjack table. The pool area is amazing and the sand is great. Absolutely loved the pool area. The hotel location in rift fort is great for easy drinks, food and shopping and only a short walk across the swinging lady bridge to town. Was very good stay and we will be back

The staff were more than helpful, close to the water, great Ocean front room, Top floor is best view. Close to the attractions and shopping, one of my Favorite places, will go back to Curacao. We ate at the poolside bar Restaurant and the food was great. They make great drinks, not watered down like some resorts I have been to in the Caribbean.

Room Tip: The Ocean front views are best, some rooms face inward, and have no view.
