They had great local food in a beautiful outdoor covered area. Komedor Krioyo is not to be missed if you want to try actual Curacaoan food (honestly it was the best 2 meals I had the whole week I was in Curacao). We went twice and the food quality was very consistent. Seating area is huge, breezy, and relaxing there is a great thing to do in the heat of the day (They are only open from 12-4). Best things to try are the stews, the spicy pico on the table, and the tutsi (local bean dish). It's located in Landhuis Dokterstuin right on your way to/from the national parks from Willemsted.

Good local food, nice local ambiance. It has a large dining room and we went with an extended family of 8. Service was good and the food was excellent. I had chicken soup, and the rest of the table chose items such as stews and fried fish. Everyone enjoyed their food.

We had the opportunity to eat at Komedor Krioyo on our recent trip to Curacao. We hired a driver for the day and wanted to eat some good local cuisine and this was the place she chose. It is an open-air restaurant but, not hot, as there was a nice breeze blowing. It appears to be in an old plantation house and is even decorated as such. The dining area is out back. We all thought it was delicious and our best meal on our entire week long vacation! Even my picky children found something they really liked..."File di Galina" (girilled chicken fillets) and "Batata hasa" (french fries)! I had the "Kolo Stoba" (stewed cabbage with saltmeat, porktail, saltribs, beef and potatoes...VERY GOOD! My husband had the "Piska Mochi" (fresh catch of the day) and LOVED it. We all got to try "Funchi" (local cornmeal) and "Tutu" (a local bean dish). We all cleaned our plates and left this place stuffed! If you are looking for GREAT local food, VERY friendly people and a NEAT atmosphere for dining, you must try this place.
