An adorable uninhabited island, with sandy beaches almost all around it. Good snorkelling and even walking trail in the interior, for the more adventurous.

The water was warm, and elaborate fish swam here. There are some strange lizards that are brown with blue spots, and plenty of hermit crabs. During the boat ride, almost no one got seasick. Flying fish flew alongside the boat. We took the Mermaid boat. There was a special place reserved for those who took the Mermaid. They served a breakfast of pastries, and a lunch of BBQ. The lighthouse is pretty broken and old. There is a large rusty shipwreck on the other side of the island. The boat also drops people off at the Santa Barbara Resort. This is indeed is a beautiful place to visit, especially with the Mermaid boat.

We went with Mermaid Tours to Klein Curacao. They treated us really well! It's a full day tour departing around 7:00am and returning around 5:00pm. The ride out is about 1.5-2 hours to the island and it's rough! Even if you're not prone to motion sickness be prepared because the swells are quite large and the boat rocks a lot. Gravol or Dramamine are helpful. Mermaid had a great sense of humour about it. They forewarned guests about the rocky ride and suggested 'feeding the fishes' if you had to. When they saw people getting sick they'd bring you a glass of water and some kleenex. When the boat arrives at the island you then have to either swim from the boat to the island or wait for them to ferry you over by zodiac. Once on the island they provide a breakfast which consists of ham and/or cheese on a bun - if you're vegan, vegetarian or gluten intolerant bring your own food - and various drinks. The bbq lunch was good consisting of green salad, coleslaw, potato salad, bbq'd chicken, ribs, bread, fruit and various drinks. The island itself is uninhabited but there are sun shelters scattered on the main part of the island and Mermaid has brought over beach chairs. There is a lighthouse and a beached shipwreck that you can walk to. This is a snorkelers and scuba divers paradise - tons of fish to see as well as sea turtles and 4-5 submerged shipwrecks to explore. The boat ride back to the main island is much smoother so much less likelihood of sea sickness. All in all it was a great day and well worth the money in our opinion.

It was nice because it wasn't busy. But you are on a tour so you are bearded around. The mermaid is the best operator because they have beach chairs. Lots of people were sea sick on thee way out.
