Right next to our resort (Lion's Dive) is this amazing and bustling beach area. There are many worthwhile restaurants and shops to visit, as well as a dazzling night life. Bars are full of life as the area comes alive after sunset. The beach is clean and protected from the surf by a rocky barrier off the coast- so swimming and snorkeling are safe for all ages. A must visit while in Curacao!

We had a great day at Mambo Beach. We arrived at 11:30 and all loungers with shade were taken so we had lunch and watched as people left and we were able to get front row loungers with shade for $5 each. The beach was lovely and the water warm in a protected bay.

Beautiful beach with lots of great shopping, bars, restaurants. Beach chairs are $3.50 for a basic beach chair, $9 for a fancy wooden beach chair, and $26 for a beach cabana. The beach fills up very quickly, come early if you can! We were lucky enough to score a beach cabana, and it was beautiful! There are curtains that you can pull across to get some shade from the sun and it was still warm and breezy. I would caution that any more than three people and it would be too crowded. If you come later in the day, you will have little to no choice of what kind of chair you get. The beach is really nice and sandy. You do have to walk about 5-10 minutes to get to the beach from the parking lot.

Visited this beach several times as we stayed near by in Jan Thiel. Hemingway bar was a great place for snacks and a great bar. Many shops and small eateries. Need to get there early to get a shady spot. They charge for beach access as well as chairs so bring some cash.

Mambo beach boulevard is definitely worth a visit. There are several restaurants with a nice view of the water and palm trees. Service in Curacao is probably the best I have ever experienced. We sat down for lunch and they allowed one of our party to order from a different place. They even served it to her once it was brought over. There are some really nice stores to browse in, especially local jewelry stores. Make sure to visit Ahav Designs on the upper floor where the restaurants are. Handmade local jewelry, lovely designs at very reasonable prices. The beach is crowded here but the water is lovely as it’s calm and great for swimming. They also have a floating playground for the kids that they can jump off the water from. Lots of fun.
