A good place to eat some fresh fish in a creole sauce. Caught in the morning, on your plate in the afternoon.

Make sure you also try the pika! That is, if you like spicy food.

There is nothing fancy about this place at all. Don't be scared, it really is a shack on the water but the fish is very fresh and flavorful. Lots of spice.

No doubt that if you reek of being a tourist you get charged more.

Funny thing is that when my credit card bill arrived it listed the place as Jimmy Buffet's.

This place was recommended to us by a local person for its tasty fresh fish and very reasonable prices. The meals indeed were good, but we got charged double, the tourist price. From tripadvisor reviewes, we knew that we were overcharged when we saw the bill, but were not sure how to handle that. This left us with a sour taste.

We saw a writeup in Fodors so we tried it. Everything was over fried and the funchi was just a solid mass.

We dined at this place on two separate occasions. This fish shack is hidden. Our dive master told us about this place. You turn off onto the same road going to Pirate's Bay, once you hit PB's parking lot, turn right, go over the hill and there's the shack. As my title says, it's the Dutch version of a taco shack, just no fish tacos.

You walk in, pick a table and the matronly like waitress (possible owner) will greet you with the day's catch. You have a choice of two fish dishes, with rice or funchi (polenta). I ordered the rice both times, husband the polenta. It comes with a brown sauce that is VERY tasty.

First visit we had the full sized yellowtail....it was the whole fish with head and tail. Fresh, no fishy smell. Second visit was yellow tail, but strips. Nice and thick-fish monger's grade. There is a little sink to wash your hands right off the dining area.

The shack sits right on a water inlet /cove just off the ocean. There are lots of crabs crawling around on the deck. This is a simple restaurant-come as you are. Fresh, good and pricing slightly less than Plaza Bieu, if you are wanting something local.
