As we came into Veradero in the evening, it sounded as though the tour guide said the park was on the beach side. It is on the same side as the Beatles Bar, right next to it. It is a beautiful park with lovely bridges and a few restaurants. Shade is provided with matured palm trees and benches throughout. We looked for the cave bar, but could not find it. It was not busy at this time of the year. A nice walk, but if you had already eaten, not much to do. Veredero is somewhat run down, so this was a nice place to walk. I would rate it four compared with the rest of Veredero.

We visited the park on a Sunday so there were quite a few people sharing a peaceful sunny day in Josone Park. Just beyond the main entrance we caught sight of a small train on wheels, carrying people, who were feeding corn to the birds and chickens as they toured the park. This was the first time I had seen the train so am not sure if it runs on a weekday. The children were loving it ! We sat at the outdoor cafe, by the pedal boats and had one of their famous Pina coladas...totally yummy! We had watched the children having fun on the pedal boats and were toying with the idea of having a go but the train looked like such fun we decided to give it a try. The driver gave us each a handful of corn and away we went, even as adults we had fun feeding the birds as they followed us around the park, it made for great photo's too. The park is much larger than I thought, it extends well beyond the initial park area, off the main road. After the train trip we went into the Italian restaurant for lunch, I had been practicing my Spanish and wanted to order the meal in Spanish, the waiter, fluent in English, was very helpful and gave me some help with pronunciation. We had an excellent pizza, large and tasty, at a reasonable cost. After lunch we took the oppourtunity to take some photo's of the park...the only downside was the loud music coming from the Beatles Bar, in the corner of the park, it spoilt the peace and tranquility of this otherwise wonderful little gem of a park in Varadero.

We went to this park on the advise of another Canadian traveller who had been to Cuba 30 times. The park is located on 59th street right across from the Baracuda Restaurant. We went by horse and carriage and came in the back entrance of the park. It has a lovley bridge which you need to cross to get to the Italian Restaurant. The pasta is the main dish on the menu and was cooked to perfection. The garlic and basil bruschette was amazing. Wine choice is great and many types to choose from. The waiter we had was a little sure of himself and we were not to happy with him. No need for names you will surely know of whom I am talking if you go here. There are also paddle boats and another restaurant called the Cave which is apparently very good for their lobster but it was closed. All and all worth a trip to this park.

Not much to see here unless you like chickens. they are everywhere. A couple of nice looking restaurants. I did notice one thing. It would make a great place for wedding pics up on the bridges crossing the lakes. Don't think kids would be too keen on the place. Not really anything to do here but walk in a circle around the lake and chase the chickens.

Very centrally located. Fantastic Pina coladas at the bar just inside the park. Very rich but yummy. A pleasant stroll, lots of chickens everywhere. There is a mini golf but doesnt look kept up. Paddle boats on the man made lake. Quite a few restaurants in the park although we did not visit any. Something to do if you want to get out of the resort.
