We stayed at Beny's house in July 2012 for the first time and know that it won't be our last. This was by FAR the nicest casa I have ever stayed in, and this was my 17th trip to Cuba! In fact, it was nicer, cleaner, and "fancier," than many of the hotels and resorts I have stayed at in various parts of Cuba. Did I mention how clean it was??? Spotless.
The private rooms upstairs had excellent airconditioners and fridges, good beds, as well as flat-screen televisions - something you do not normally find in Cuba. The location was also great - close to the beach, restaurants, and the amusement park for kids. To top it all off, Beny and his family were all friendly and welcoming, attending to anything that we needed, going above and beyond our expectations. The many DVDs they loaned us for the kids to watch were a huge help, as tv in Cuba is limited, and it helped wind the kids down when we needed some quiet time after a long day at the gorgeous beach.
It would be very hard for anyone to have an issue with anything at Beny's house, but if they did find anything to complain about, I can guarantee that it wouldn't be house-related and perhaps someone that has not travelled in Cuba very much. This is the ultimate way to get the best of both worlds if you...We stayed at Beny's house in July 2012 for the first time and know that it won't be our last.
