This is an older hotel showing it's age but is clean and comfortable with great staff.
Food in the buffet for all 3 daily meals was plentiful, lots of choices and good tasting. We tried the 2 Al a Cartes and was just average and found the Buffet to be better option. The Clientele of this resort would be 65+ on average and speaking with some they had been coming back 5,10,15 years so resort is doing something right to keep them returning. After the nightly shows most them headed off to bed. What I thought was lacking at this resort due to our younger age was some nightly entertainment options after the shows. The only option was to just sit in the lobby bar. Speaking with other travelers at the airport about there 4 or 5 star resort stays and the lack of food options they had we thought the Roc at 3.5* faired pretty well.
People need to keep in mind with there complaints that Cuba is a 3rd world country and staff does the best they can with what they have sometimes. If you find a good deal you can't go wrong for a safe, comfortable holiday with great beach.More
