Hotel its an old colonial palace from an irish family. Its well located in the middle of everything. A few meters from malecon and a few blocks from the main streets. Secure neighborhood. Lots of police everywhere. Nice for family its very quiet in evenings. Double windowed bedrooms. It has a restaurant inside

I went there last may 2013 for three nights!
The building is excellent, comes from the past and it is very fascinating!
My room is nice either!
I suggest the breakfast, held in a wonderful area and with very good food!
The location is fantastic, because it is in the most turistic area (Habana veja) and in 5 minutes walk you can visit nice squares and famous buildings!
if you really like luxury place, plenty of history this is the perfect place for you!

Our first impression of this hotel was that it looked lovely and airy with its central atrium, but after being shown to our room, which had no windows and was the temperature of a fridge, we were most disappointed. There were no other rooms available and so we had to like it or lump it. The food was a mixed bag of ghastly to rather well presented and tasty, and of course the drinks were good and reasonable.
I wish I had known to ask for a room with a window (even if they do just give onto the home across the very narrow road) before booking as it would have made for a much more pleasant stay.
Also the roof terrace is not a terrace at all - it is a roof with nowhere to sit, unless you want to perch on the ventilation ducts, which my daughter and I did in an attempt to sit somewhere outside where you could be sure or being left alone to read. Everywhere else out of doors you are fair game to be hassled, which becomes very tiring after a few days.

Room Tip: Make sure you ask for a room with a window and do not accept an interior room as it is like living i...

We spent a perfect few days here in feb 2012. The room had no windows but we were moved without a problem, and the view and atmosphere was wonderful. Breakfast was nothing special but they do their best. If you want a fuss and flashy service then go elsewhere, but if you want an authentic experience near the heart of the old town choose this hotel. We loved it.

Room Tip: Ask for a window!

The atrium of the hotel is beautiful, as are the various landings, which offer a great location to relax.

Our room was on the first floor and quite noisy at night although, as the hotel is right in the heart of Old Havana (a very short walk to Plaza de la Catedral) some noise should be expected. Whilst the rooms are air-conditioned, the windows are only shutters which is why noise can filter through.Whilst we were there the AC broke down in the whole building but was quickly repaired.

Compared with other hotels we stayed at, the breakfast was poor, with little choice, and perhaps they should spend more on the quality and amount of the food, with a buffet, rather than having waiter service. We did not use the restaurant in the evening because of the precedent set by the breakfast.

Room Tip: We opted for a junior suite but, quite frankly, we did not need nor use the space and may have been...

Convenient localion near most of the tourist places of interest. Old historucal building, beautifully restored. Friendly personel, good service and relatively good price.
Rooms can lack windows and be very dark, and breakfast is not stellar.

Room Tip: Just try to get a room with a window.
