It's far from a proper museum, with just a few pieces to see, everything settled inside a nice cafe with one of the best smells in the world: chocolate. Try a hot chocolate - the cheapest you'll get in Havana, with really good taste - and don't forget to try some of their goodies. The cafe flavoured is the best shot by far!

It is a cafe.
The chocolate is ok, but very very expensive.
When it comes to the museum part - it is thre cabins showing som old moulding forms and some porcelain cups to drink cocoa from. It is done in a few minutes, but I would not call it a museum. It is free to enter, but I don't know if that's the idea??? Not recomended / vaste of time.

Blink and you'll miss this little shop. Full of old chocoalate making molds and equipment, this is a great spot to pull up a chair, relax and have a hot or cold chocolate.
I had the Aztec hot chocolate for 55 pesos and my daughter tried the cold chocolate for 1 CUC. Different, to say the least.....very rich and slightly bittersweet. Each item ordered comes with a little chocolate treat and your waiter will be happy to fill any chocoate orders you may have, to save you lining up on the other side of the counter after your drink.
Very rich, delicious chocoalte.
Be warned though, just because it is on the menu does not mean they have it that day :) We settled for bagged chocoaltes as they did not have any boxes left, or specific pieces we wanted. Still, it was all good :) Hey......it's chocolate!!!

This is a wonderful place to have a real hot chocolate, or cold chocolate and delicious hand made pralines. The place has a nice atmosphere, good service and it is very inexpensive. One of my favourite places!

I have been there during my day visit to Old Havana and sat there for around 2 hrs. Very pleasant envirnment, interesting stuff and a awsome chocolate products. The chocolate bars are one of the best suvonyier and the hot and cold chocolate drinks are really refreshing. I really want to back and pay another visit to that.
Also the butter and toast is awesome, but take it while it's warm and fresh.
Also you will have the opportunity to see the process of making and preparing the chocolate from behind the a glass barrier.
