A pleasant hotel meeting international standards. The rooms are spacious and the bathrooms are well fitted and importantly showers that have a reasonable pressure of hot water. The beds are comfortable and the room has all the normal accoutrements.

The hotel is well situated, just outside the old quarter and within site of the capitol building. During our stay there was always a selection of 50's taxis and horse drawn carriages waiting outside to pick up a fare.

The public areas of the hotel are very pleasant, the hotel mezzanine bar is good and the rooftop pool/bar is a very pleasant place to relax and watch the Havana mayhem below.

Breakfast is quite good with a buffet selection and the option of freshly cooked menu items, my only complaint would be that the food was never exactly piping hot.

A word of caution, beware of the minibar policy, the rooms contain a tea/coffee making machine with tea/coffee pods, our assumption was that as there was no price list with these pods they were complementary, unfortunately this isn't so, they are included on the minibar price list which is conveniently located inside the minibar.

Overall, given what we saw of Havana I don't think you would do much better and as such we would probably chose it again if we were ever to return.

Stayed here for 3 nights in a standard room facing the inner atrium. The hotel has been renovated recently and managed to spruce up the rooms as well as keeping the old world charm.
Bathrooms are very nice for Cuban standards, large with good shower and heaps of toiletries.

Rooftop pool and fitness centre has great views over Havana down to the seaside. The bar on the Mezzanine level is a great place to have a few drinks before hitting the town.

Staff here are a little surly, but this is common around Cuba.

The main street of Old Havana is only a 5 minute walk & access to the airport is very easy from the centrally located Saratoga.

Room Tip: Get a room facing the central atrium if you a light sleeper as the road in front of the hotel is qui...

This hotel, located in central Havana near many shops and restaurants, and Old Havana, is just a great base from which to explore the city. The rooms are very comfortable. The rooftop restaurant and bar offers 360 degree views over all of Havana. One one side you look down at a large central plaza, and it is very interesting to sit there with a cool drink and watch the bustling activity in the streets and squares. This is probably the best part of town to see "Yank tanks", the old US cars that are so lovingly maintained by their owners. There are literally hundreds of these cars parked every day in the plaza right outside the hotel.

My fiance and I stayed 2 nights at the Saratoga. Spacious rooms, good infrastructure and very well located. Also apparently one of the only hotels in Havana with free wi-fi in your room. We missed this when we got to the Melia in Varadero. Just don't take the tips from the Concierge. Tey will send you to tourist traps.

This hotel is superbly located, from the lovely rooftop pool you can see out over the large city square, a great view and ideal for watching those 1950s American cars and people bustling below. You could quite easily sit around the pool in the sun with a book and drink from the bar, providing you're willing to pay the fairly steep prices. However, it is a good base for getting out and seeing Havana on foot and the staff are also helpful with providing you with taxis for trips further afield.

During the 4 nights we stayed at this hotel we were a bit unlucky, the 2nd lift was being renovated, meaning noise from 8.30am onwards, which led us to ask to change rooms, fortunately this wasn't an issue. Our second room was bigger and nicer than our first (avoid the 1st floor), but we did now have plenty of road noise to contend with. The room was clean and did have a very nice bathroom with a great shower. However, our bad luck struck again when the pool was closed for most of that day for repairs, which was a shame being the only day we had opted to not venture out into the city.

Food in the hotel was average at best, nothing to write home about, avoid eating there in the evening unless you're feeling really lazy. There's quite a lot of interesting food in the surrounding area.

This was my second time in Havana, first at the Hotel Saratoga. It was a great hotel all around. The room we got (a junior suite) was large, comfortable, with a great view of the capitolio building, and the bathroom is big and modern with a bath and separate shower, and the air conditioning unit is modern, quiet, and powerful. The concierges were great and attentive, you can change money right there in the lobby and not have to go to an external Cadeca, and the hotel resturants on both the roof and in the lobby are excellent, as is the mezzanine bar which we also had dinner at one night. This is quiet, boutique hotel and you won't see any large groups or tour buses parked out front like at the other high end hotels in Havana. It has a fantastic location between Old Havana and Central Havana and you can catch a cab anywhere you want to go, though we hired a private driver for the day. The buffet breakfast (included) was excellent and plentiful. You really could not ask for more in Havana and I will definitely be staying here when I return to Cuba.

Room Tip: I asked for a room on an upper floor since I already knew from my last trip to Havana that the stree...

Stayed here on our recent trip to Havana. Nice outside appearance, lobby and rooms. We had to wait a while at reception whilst the receptionist was catching up on her admin. Unfortunately the roof top terrace and pool is currently closed for refurb and there was a little noise from this however the hotel had been in touch to let us know. The bar on the first floor is a lovely place to hang out. The breakfast was awful though - if you want to have a nice breakfast go to the park Central where it is lovely.
