“Great A/C and Music, too!”
Reviewed August 13, 2012

For the past 4 years I have visited the Jazz Cafe, I visit during the month of July. The a/c is always super cold. For lunch they have specials with prices that are quite cheap. The food is good and the croquetes are delicious! Each night of the week they have a special jazz band presentation.

“Average food, disappointing music”
Reviewed February 21, 2012

Had a disappointing evening, as it was a long wait till the jazz band came on. Strangely the music was flat, and many left early. To be fair, it might be different on a different night with a different band. One good thing was there were many locals in the audience

“Wouldn't wish on my worst enemy”
Reviewed December 23, 2011

Keep a million miles away from this place, we visited as we were staying at the cohiba opposite. Very cheap drinks I admit but quite easily the worst food I have ever been served one taste and we walked straight out, the benefit being we were over changed so ended up leaving no worse off!!
Go to the Havana cafe under the melia cohiba instead

“Quality music, food and drinks so reasonable - had a great night”
Reviewed September 6, 2011

The jazz was quality, the cocktails small but then half the normal price, had filet steak for 8 cuban pesos - unbelievably good value. Didn't stay for the dancing after but atmosphere was buzzing. Staff very friendly even though don't speak English very much. The Manager did and was very helpful with the Spanish menu. There were 17 of us and we all got our food at the same time. Hardly paid anything on top of the 10 peso cover charge - wonder how they do it. Location is a bit out of the way but well worth a visit. Loved it! Highly recommended.

“Incredible jazz sounds with excellent coctails.”
Reviewed July 14, 2011

The Jazz Cafe Havana in the Galerias del Paseo shopping mall across the street from the Hotel Riviera and the La Zorra y el Cuervo on La Rampa. The mall is closed, and you feel like your taxi left you in the middle of darkness, but enter and it is on the second floor. We listened Oscar Valdes and his group Diakara. If you like latin, cuban jazz, i guess this place is the best for you. You pay at the entrance but this fee includes some drinks. Prices were so reasonable. Only negative point for this place is Air Conditioners!!! The temperature inside was 12 degree celcius i guess. Whenever you you, you should take a sweater or coat.
