This is Havana's version of Rio's Christ Redeemer. Of course it isn't nearly as tall, but does sit on a cliff from where you can see a lot of Havana. Go to this point mainly to see the view of the city from the other side of the bay. You can see most of the prominent Havana buildings including El Capitolio. Needless to say, there are some great photo ops here. Make sure to turn around when on top of the hill, because then you will see Che Guevara´s House after the revolution ended. So apparently you can go inside the statue and it's only 1 CUC - sadly I found that out only after we left. I am sure the view from above will be even more breathtaking - but I was happy with the view we got from the feet of the statue as well.

One will need to take a cab to get to this quiet park set in a residential neighborhood overlook Havana bay and the old quarter of Havana. The majestic statue of Christ is 15 meters tall set on a 3 meter pedestal base and was sculpted by female Cuban artist, Gilma Madera. Nearby is the Casa de Che Guevara, now a museum. There is no cost to see this fantastic view.

This statue was build in Italy of Carrara marble and then brought to Habana in 1952, it is a nice place to start a trip to Old Habana. Just across the street is Ernestos Che Guevara´s House after the revolution ended Fidel gave this beutiful residence with one of the best views of Habana, there is a Museum with personal belonggins of such a remarkable person, the cost of that is 6 CUC. Near is The San Carlos de la Cabana Fort & Morro castle,

It cost 1 CUC per person but the view of Havana is worth it. The cleft in the statues head is due to a lightning. The reason that the statue has no eyes is apparently that the artist did not want to offend any part of Havana by having it look the other way.

Enjoy one of the best view of Havana from this amazing point. Close to La Cabana and El Morro, you have this excellent and amazing Christ statue with one of the best view of Havana. Perfect to see the Sunset and the nightfall over the city.
