Review of El Malecon

El Malecon

A short walk from the Hotel Nacional. Where everyone goes, especially after work, to unwind and in my case, gain perspective. I went early morning and watched a fisherman or two cast lines. The Malecon goes on and on in each direction. The ocean comes right up to and at times, over the Malecon's wall. It's a beautiful stop, especially during a busy day.

Loved walking down here early evening. Lots of locals hanging out, socialising, romancing and getting splashed by waves. A lovely atmosphere.

The Malecon in Cienfuegos is far nicer you can see the sunset and the people are mlore welcoming.
I was disapointed there is not much to do or see in the one in Hanavan

The whole of Havana seems to come down here to "make out" The buildings are amazing and you can play, dodge the waves, as they come over the top of breaker wall(watch your cameras, sea salt will rot it within hrs) there's a few bars along the way. It's an easy stroll with lots to look at
