This is real nice house in centre of old Havana, just few streets from Capitolio and Obispo street. I was there for three nights with my friends, bedrooms are big and very clean and it has aircondition.Breakfast was delicious! Javier and Belkis are very fine people, they are very helpful, they have two children,so sweet:)
Javier helped us to find a taxi ( an old chevrolet) to drive us to Vinales (because we couldn't find availabe car to rent in Havana), he also arranged us a casa in Vinales (but when we arrived they didn't had available rooms, but somehow we find another available place).
This house is definitely to recommend it is clean, safe, comfortable and with very nice hosts.

The casa is really nice, centrally located, quiet, nice family. The place is lot bigger than I thought.
The only problem is that we had to stay in another casa since this place was full. The referred place was located on 401 Obrapia. The apartment looks fine, but very noisy. You hear the noise from the street, from the room on top and from the family beside you. The sewage smell was aweful and floating everywhere. Teh pillow and blanket stinked.
I just hope this place on 401 Obrapia will not be referred to other tourists and they should find a nice and equal quality place if the casa is full.

Room Tip: The room we stayed is at the very end of the house, much quieter. But the bathroom is really tiny.

This is a real colonial gem in Old Havana. My friends and I stayed n this house our first 2 nights in Cuba and then came back for the last 3. The house is just beautiful with spacious rooms, great mosaics and a patio that is a pleasure to spend time in. It is so clean it's sparkling, the rooms are cleaned every day and the towels and sheets are changed. The food is good as well.
Jevier and Belkis are very helpful. Jevier speaks English and Belkis is very patient when explaining things. They made us feel very welcome and it was a pleasure stay here!

got back from Havana last Sunday and still struggling with the jet lag...
i found this casa last minute before jumping on a place with a copy of teh usual LP and a little/no idea where to stay.

i was made at easy as soon as i arrived (late in the evening) and i was told to east in this student (not just cuban but mainly south American or European) bar/restaurant 2 minutes from the casa in plaza de cristo. perfect place if u just arrived for the first time and it is late in the evening and u just want a couple of good (cheap) mojito and good food.

the casa is spotless clean, i was told not to worry about passport and money as they would be safed (and they were) and the location is spot on. in havana vieja, next to the capitolio (a couple of minutes walk) and havana vieja.

you are also 2 block from the main street obispo where to change money, make phone calls, internet (prepare to queue) and the usual. also the rest of havana vieja, fab fab place..
i spent initially 4 days there, then on my way back to europe 3 more nites.

what can i say , thank you Belkis and Jevier, i truly miss you badly. pls also say hallo to the lady who was preparing my lovely breakfast, i forgot her name.

thank you i leave havana with good memories also thanks to this lovely, homely casa...

Giovanni

Room Tip: i was given the same room twice so , ok next to the main entrance

When we came to l'Havana we wanted to spend only the first night in this Casa Particular. After seeing the amazing house, rooms, patio and above all, after spending some time with Belkis and Jevier, we fell in love with this place. We spent here all our time in the city. The food is just great and talking to Belkis and Jevier is the best way to learn about Cuba, L'Havana and people's everyday life. the hose is extremely clean and comfortable. Kevin and Claudia, their kids, are adorable and a nice addition to the atmosphere!
Stay here, you won't regret it, guaranteed!

We spent 4 nights in this beautiful casa particular, located in the centre of Habana Vieja, 5 mins walking for any interesting top sights of the city. Best location ever!!!
Belkis and Jeiver, with their beautiful children Claudia (11 years) and Kevin (2) warmly welcomed us in their casa as we were part of the family.
Always kind and polite, available for any need we may have, they have been a great example of a nice Cuban family.
The house is in the first floor of a colonial building, with very spacious and clean rooms (all with private bathroom), beautiful patio where we relaxed and we had our gorgeous breakfast and dinners. Belkis is an amazing chef!!! Jeiver has a coco taxi and he will be able to bring you wherever you want with reasonable prices (compared to the coco taxi you find on the street).
We miss them already and we are already planning another trip in Cuba, booking with them already! We have a family in La Habana now :)
Book in advance as this place is understandably popular!

We have stayed for 5 nights in Havana in November 2012.
The house is very well located, just few minutes away from the touristic sites. The area is very safe, no surprises.
The rooms are very clean and cleaned every day.
The breakfast was delicious with fresh fruits and fruit juice.
Belkis and Jevier (the hosts) are very nice and helpful. They gave us tips about what to visit and what to avoid in Havana.
I highly recommend it for a visit if you want to experience some authentic Cuba.
Thank you
Manuela
