Pablo and his 2 sons (Javier who is a singer and Jans who is a salsa teacher) made me feel very welcome. The atmosphere was very friendly and relaxed - I felt very much that I was in their home rather than a guest house. They were happy to give their time to make sure they answered all my questions.

Great location, comfortable room and surroundings, a genuine feeling of warmth.

Tip -try a salsa lesson with Jans - he's a great teacher.

During our six-week stay in Cuba we met so many wonderful people: caring, hospitable, generous; in fact most casa owners were like this, which is what makes the experience for us much better than staying in a hotel. Pablo was like this, but he also possesses a great sense of humour, so the time spent in his casa was so enjoyable- a real hoot! He is also an excellent fixer and can get anything you want- a taxi, an old Chevvy, a casa in a different town, recommend an excellent bar or restaurant
He is slowly restoring his beautiful colonial casa,( but not that your peace and quiet would be disturbed ), and it is looking great!
The room we stayed in was large, comfortable and very clean, as was the bathroom. Breakfasts were delicious, large and varied. We stayed in for dinner one night, and the cooking was of a high standard.
Pablo's English is coming along well, and with our basic Spanish, communication was fine, and always a laugh!
In addition, the casa is well-situated:the Malecon, Prado, museum of the revolution are all on the doorstep, and it's a very short walk to all the pedestrianised streets in Havana Vieja. Furthermore, the major restoration of his street is now complete, (mainly cosmetic work left to do), so it's looking lovely

We only got to stay with Pablo for one night but loved it!! Pablo was so lovely, one of the most friendly Cubans we met on the trip. He lived in an amazing old-fashioned house with high ceilings and stained glass windows. It was a very peaceful, 'chilled' house with our room opening out onto a courtyard where we had breakfast. Pablo goes out of his way to make your stay special- I saw him go out early to buy a birthday cake to surprise one of the other guests on their birthday.

We were booked into Casa Maura for the majority of our stay but she couldn't fit us in the first night so found us a room at Pablo's. A lovely old traditional, clean house in a good location, a comfortable room and a nice breakfast. I'm sure if we had stayed longer we would have had a great time there.

We had booked to stay next door with Kary & Humberton but ended up with Pablo due to Humberto's operation. Pablo was very helpful and his son Javier who is in an up and coming Cuban duo. The bed was very comfortable, Pablo had to wake us up to get our fabulous breakfast. We had a lovely omlette and some great Cuban coffee, fresh juice and lovely bread rolls all for 3CUC. Pablo is also doing some great renovation work in this lovely old colonial building so I'm sure the place will be even nicer as time goes by. The carpenters working there were great guys too. I wouldn't hesitate to go back here again, lovely courtyard to sit out in and the bathrooms were spotlessly clean. Highly recommended.

Thank you very much,

I assure you that when you return, you will notice changes in the restoration, today concluded doors leading to the patio, they look very nice, I hope to have finished returning something else, there is always something to do in our house, in order to achieve their best stay in Havana, our colonial Havana.

We wait for you

From start to finish, our stay at Pablo's made my visit to Cuba even more enjoyable and even more unforgettable. Nothing was too big a problem to help us sort out from taxis, to booking other Casa's ahead of time in Cuba, to restaurant recommendations, Pablo was always more than happy to help out. We had the delightful Carlos drive us to our restaurant one evening and on my trip back to Habana he met me at the station to take me to the airport. The breakfast was brilliant with your egg requirements made to order.

I was lucky enough to celebrate my 30th birthday in Habana and Pablo ensured that it was a birthday to remember. Not only did he arrange for a birthday cake to be presented to me over breakfast but he also had his wonderful friend Lois drive us up and down the Malecon in his bright yellow, soft top Chevrolet 53. INCREDIBLE!!

The room we stayed in was clean (and cleaned every day), all of the staff as well as Pablo's two sons are so friendly and welcoming and the location is amazing, you are in easy walking distance to the Museo de la Revolucion, restaurants on the Malecon, you can walk along the Prado and people watch. There are so many streets to get lost in it's amazing.

Pablo and his team are the most thoughtful and kind people I have met in a very very very long time. I could honestly not say a negative thing about any of the experience. It has a very homely feel and you feel completely at ease.

THANK YOU SO MUCH and good luck with your English lessons.

Remember.... head, shoulders, knees and toes, knees and toes :)
