This was quite incredible. The guy has gussied up his house in a way that's reminiscent of Gaudi (think Barcelona), but in a much wilder way. Well worth the trip to find this place.

Absolutely a 'must do' if you like this type of art (visit the Jose Fuster website for a preview). We had a special treat in that we had Jose Fuster lunch with us. Aside from his artistic talent, Fuster is a wonderful host and personality! I can not describe adequately Fuster's Picasso/Gaudi/Miro style art. You must see it.

definitely one of the best things in havana.
dont miss it!
it is not downtown so you will need a car, taxi to get there. you can always arrange whole day taxi to take you arround havana(miramar, plaza de la revolucion, vedado, fusterlandioa, hemingway marina, playa del este). You will find taxi drivers around central park and they wont charge you a lot unless you take a cabriolet.

Fuster's neighbourhood was easily one of our highlights during a week in Havana. Fuster has taken over his neighbourhood with his mosaic creations, pouring our from his house along fences and walls to neighbours houses and beyond. Whimsical creations emerge next to political statements in a colourful explosion of Cuba art.

If you go to Fuster's place take a bit longer and walk further afield through the neighbourhood to get a glimpse of Havana outside the central cores.

Visit this, you won't regret it!

Hidden from most people is this gem of a place and gem of an artist. An excellent way to spend a day. Amazing especially in Cuba a real treat.
